We get to keep Krstic's "rights" if we offer him a qualifying offer each season, money which will constrict our cap a bit but will be worth it if/when he returns better than ever, in his prime. If we decide to give up on him, we can always refrain from offering him a contract.</div>

I totally agree, if it turns out that this is, in fact, a one-year deal with one-year options. The way Krstic played last year, he didn't deserve to play in the NBA. This will give him a chance to (hopefully) get back to where he was, and will give him a chance to get a lot of playing time, which he was unlikely to get in NJ, at least right off the bat. I mean, Krstic was just awful last year.

It increases the odds that Hodge will make the team, who could turn out to have some value in a future deal.

The Nets will probably go out and acquire another center, though.

The Super League is gonna be interesting. Crazy moves this offseason.

Kobi, Nachbar is with Dynamo, but Delfino signed with Khimki.

Khimki has picked up Jerome Moiso, Garbajosa, Delfino, Milt Palacio, Clay Tucker. Not bad at all. Also have known names such as Pat Burke, Daniel Ewing, Macej Lampe, NBA draft pick Vlad Veremeenko, Anton Ponkrashov. Plus Teemu Rannikko (not that the NBA guys know him) is always solid.

Dynamo now has Boki, Travis Hansen, DLavrinovic, Sergei Monia, Javtokas, Yaroslav Korolov, and Hollis Price. Not to mention they are bringing Ariel McDonald back, too.

Then of course, you have CSKA with JR Holden, Trajan Langdon, Smodis, Lorbek, Siskauskas, Terrence Morris, Zoran, Khryapa and Sasha Kaun.

    Wild.

My bad on Delfino, you're correct.

I've said this many times this offseason and I'll say it again: the Superleague may become the best league in Europe next season. The amount of quality players on Russian teams this upcoming season will be insane.

Meanwhile, news of the Krstic signing is picking up steam, as another Israeli sports site ONE (www.one.co.il) is also reporting the upcoming transfer:

Delf, Garbo, Milt, Moiso, Ewing. Geez, Khimki's like a Raptors cast-off team.

Ah it has it's pluses and minuses.

If he were moved this year, they could had taken back a slightly longer expiring contract (2 year), than next year (1 year). The extra year would had allowed them to take back a better pick or better quality 2nd filler.

I really don't think he's in the Nets' plans. Chance to sign LBJ or another impact FA... or Nenad Krstic pre-injury?

" "Snoop Dogg" at Pilsen, Krstic on the way to Triumph"

"Snoop Dogg"= Peter John Ramos' nickname, apparently.

    It's official:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>New Jersey Nets free agent Nenad Krstic signed a two year deal worth $3 million euros per year with Triumph Moscow early Tuesday morning, Krstic's agent, Marc Cornstein, said.

The salary is the equivalent of around $9 million per year in the United States once you factor in the exchange rate and the fact that European clubs pay all the players' taxes.

Cornstein worked until midnight Eastern time trying to find an NBA team willing to pay Krstic at least a mid-level contract to keep him in the NBA. But as the midnight deadline passed, Krstic became the sixth NBA player to recently bolt the league for Europe.

"At the end of the day, Triumph offered him the most love," Cornstein told ESPN.com. "This was too good of a deal to pass up for him."

Krstic joins Josh Childress, Bostjan Nachbar, Juan Carlos Navarro, Jorge Garbajosa, Carlos Delfino and Primoz Brezec as NBA players who opted to play for more money overseas this year. Three of the six are Cornstein clients.</div>
