Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Bulls may have offered Andres Nocioni to the Nets as part of the aborted last minute trade talks involving Nenad Krstic. Nocioni has become excess now that Chicago is signing Luol Deng and longs as well for Ben Gordon’s signature. Nocioni has four years left on his deal, although, like Eduardo Najera, his salaries drop off rather than increase, giving the Nets some flexibility.

With Najera on the books, won't want Nocioni, otherwise I think it would had been a nice move.

I would love to have Nocioni on our team if we were in a position to win now, but with us rebuilding and being several years away from contention I don't think adding him would be beneficial to us.

Najera could easily be moved next summer.

Does it make sense to trade assets for Nocinni, then trade assets to move Najera's contract at this point of the Net's rebuilding?

Part of rebuilding is acquiring and moving different assets during the process.

True, but ultimately it's a lot to get Nocinni on the team. I'd just rather see them use assets in something bigger than trading for a guy like Nocinni, and then moving Najera a season later.

I don't think it is a waste of Najera if we get Nocioni becuase he is more of SF than Najera is. I see Najera spelling Yi as tough defender of the bench. Noc will play some good D and score as a starting SF and I think he would be the best 3 on our roster. I would have trade Kristic for Noc and actualy tried to get something in return. Adding Noc actually makes us look like low seeded playoff team IMO.

Nociono would make a great addition to our team. He also has the character the Nets are looking for, a hard-nosed player. I would love it if this could happen.

    Several years=Couple years..

Point being were obviously nowhere near contention at this point and if we were to eventually get LeBron and begin to have our team begin to look like a winner in a couple (or several, whichever word you want to use) years, he wouldn't be as attractive of a player anymore at that age..What Im trying to say is, if we were in a position where we were in contention (say we didnt trade Kidd and were able to move RJ for a talented front line player), his addition would make sense, but at this point I don't think it would.

The way I see it. If we didnt get Najera and Hayes, I would be for this. But to have Nocioni, Simmons, Hayes and Najera ($8 mil, 10 mil, 1.9 mil, and 3 mil) is just a waste.

I agree, I have always liked Nocioni and I love his game, but with the moves we have made and the position we are in right now his addition wouldnt make sense for this team.
