In my opinion, EA is making a huge mistake....they brought back NFL Head Coach, I might be the only guy on earth that enjoyed the 1st one, but, instead of selling it stand alone, its being included in the 20th anniv Madden packages....that alone isnt a mistake.....the mistake is that they arent selling Madden for PC, which means they arent selling Head Coach for PC, and that is the format that series could really do something in my opinion....I beleive there is a market for a hard core realistic football coaching and management sim, but not on the consoles, which are designed to be about action....on PC, the game was decent, although the control was bulky, and it was a little too easy to dominate in my opinion....with a little foresight and some "out of the box " thinking, I believe Head Coach on PC is a cash cow....
Head coach was pretty good, I liked it. Their other big mistake was this "All-Play" garbage for the Wii. Saps the competitive nature right out of the games
I agree Beef. Football Manager (soccer's equivalent0 has shown that there's a huge market for sports management sims, especially on the PC market. I'm just waiting until someone realizes the trend and applies it to basketball and NFL football.
EA's mistake? Giving away their MLB rights for exclusive NFL rights, when Madden was the only football video game anyone ever bought/heard of anyway, and now poor baseball fans like myself who don't own a playstation console are stuck with those MLB 2k_ games that are an insult to the American pastime. /rant
