Im starting a new kind of thread. Its called "Name a Game", and each time, I will ask for a video game that you play or used to play that meet a specific criteria....and the 1st category is this:

Name a Game that you played and enjoyed, but that you think no one else on S2 has ever played!!!!

In the 90s, I used to play Pacific Theatre of Operations 2 for the Super Nintendo....the game was part of KOEIs Historical Sim Series and was based on the events of WWII....I spent hours playing as all hardcore PTOII fans do, but Im betting no one else on here played, atleast not substantially....

Thrill Kill for Playstation. (wikipedia can be found here) It was canceled prior to its release but my cousin had a mod chip and got it off the internet. Me and my cousins played this sh*t for hours on end. Really, really fun despite what Gameinformer said about it. At the time the violence was unprecedented so that was cool to see but it was also a really fun and unique fighter game, awesome multiplayer. Here's an article about the game from IGN:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Gameplay is very different from the standard fighting game. First of all, it's more of a party game in the sense that four people can play the game at the same time. Once the match begins, you'll be punching and kicking, but there's no dmage. Instead, you've got this powerup meter that increases every time you punch, kick, or combo someone. Once that meter's filled, that player can now kill for a short period of time. They get a really impressive powerup, then go after another player. This is the cool part. When the other three players are scrambling to get away from the killer, they have a special move where they can throw an unlucky opponent into the path of the killer player. Should a character get killed, you're treated to a very, very gruesome fatality. For example, the maid can grab a person's head and slice it off, at which point the body spurts blood and the head goes flying, also gushing a bright red fountain. Then it begins again, with one less character. The last kill gets an extra special death animation, called the ThrillKill and that's where the game gets its name.</div>

Also maybe its more popular these days but I also played GTA 1 and 2 a ton with my cousins as well long before GTA 3 came out. Kind of funny looking back on that crappy birds eye view thing but it was good times.

I use to play this game on Sega Genesis all the time with my cousin called "Dashin' Desperadoes". It was similiar to the Sonic games where you race to the end, but you had bombs and stuff to slow down your opponent and all that good stuff.

I thought of another that was fantastic, but I doubt many played: Return Fire....it was a 2 player game where each player had a helicopter, a jeep and a I think a tank....you took a vehicle out to search for the opponents flag, then try to capture it and bring it to your base....only the jeep could move the flag, so it always turned into one guy with the flag being chased by the helo....

This game called Subterrania on Sega Genesis. Me and my brother were pretty sick at it - it was a top-down view game of a weird ship, and you went around shooting all different things. It was awesome, one of my favorites back in the day.

How about Jet Force Gemini on the N64. I loved that game.

Body Harvest for the N64 is another one I'm gonna throw out there as well, great game.

Primal Rage is another one. It's a MK or SF style fighting game, with dinosaurs and giant apes fighting eachother. It's such an odd game, but me and my cousins loved it and played it for hours.

Gallop Racer for the PSX is one of my all-time favorite games. They made a bunch of sequels for PS2, but the original is still the best game. Extremely fun and addictive!

GTFO if you think you're the only one who played Primal Rage! haha

My favorite game growing up was on the NES, and unfortunately I can't remember its name. It was a sidescroller, medieval theme, against goblins/monsters/etc. It had that dark Zelda-dungeon theme music, and was great because you could customize your players armor, buy upgrades, etc (great rpg elements). Haha I remember using the Game Genie on it a couple of times too [IMG]

I bought my girlfriend a Sega for Christmas a couple years back. I should totally steal that from her and bust out Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

    Settlers 3 for PC.

Dangerous Dave! (for computer and it came on a floppy disk)
Super Mario SVGA! (I don't think it was made by nintendo and it came on floppy, it wasn't a side scroller like Mario for NES it was more like battle mode in Super Mario 3)
Duke Nukem 1 and 2 on the floppy. Side scroller with messed up robots and zombies.
Galaxy Striker or something on floppy. Side scrolling space ship with upgrades.

Warlords for the Atari system. (A weird version of pong)
    ET for the Atari system.
    Popeye for Atari.

I actually had duke nuke'em 3 and all the disks that it took.

I also played a lot of Command & Conqueor 1.
My friend had 2 computers hooked up so a bunch of us would go head to head in it.
Loved how you could sell you buildings to get troops and money if you were getting desperate [IMG]

Larry Bird vs Dr. J for the commadore 64 [IMG]
You could break the back board in the game and a janitor would come out and sweep away the glass while yelling at you like a the teacher in Charlie Brown, totally incoherent. [IMG]
