    http://mmamania.com/<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>They’re still trying to call me the heavyweight champion. I resigned and relinquished the title. Nogueira’s in my opinion the champion now in the UFC…I need to be free and clear of that before I can pursue this fight somewhere else with Fedor (Emelianenko). I’d love for the UFC to step up and make the fight happen. It has the potential to be the biggest mixed martial arts fight to date…It has the potential to do 700,000+ pay-per-view buys which is a helluva lotta money. I think 6-10 [million should be the salary] for each of us and they’re still gonna make a boatload of money on top of that.</div>

    So, not only does Randy want to hand-pick his out of organization opponent, he wants the biggest MMA payout ever for doing so.

    To put in into perspective, here is what he is asking for:

    750,000 PPV buys = 750,000 x $44.95 = $33,712,500
    Broadcaster = 50% of PPV revenue = $33,712,500/2 = $16,856,250
    Live gate = $4,000,000 (high-end PPV card) = $16,856,250 + $4,000,000 = $20,856,250
    Misc. expenses, temp staff salaries, production costs, tax, advertising, other fighter payouts = 25% = $20,856,250*.75 = $15,642,188

    Randy + Fedor = $8,000,000 each = $16,000,000 = $15,642,188 - $16,000,000 = $-<span style="color:#FF0000">357,813</span>

    Gee, I wonder why it has been so hard to negotiate with these two loons.

    Also, the UFC can pay Brock Lesnar $250k and get over 600k PPV buys, so why bother with Fedor/Randy?

    lol yea, why break the bank for Couture when he has renegged on a contract he agreed to when you can make 650k views on Brock Lesnar vs. someone + a title match or a contender matchup at another weighclass.

    I think 6-10 million dollar's for one fight, is way to much money to pay someone, and quite unreasonable in my estimation. I thought he wanted to fight Fedor because of the competition, to prove he can beat the best in the world, not for a giant pay day when he already has quite a bit of money. I think it's rediculous he would ask for that much, and actually expect there to be a profit's for the organization left over.

    A: Randy won't last a round with Fedor
    B: no org with 1/2 a brain will pay the two fighters 6-10 million let alone each because then you'll have other start fighters disgruntled and looking for similar pay days
    C: I've said it before, Randy is going through a mid-life crisis and is somewhat delusional from his fame.
