I don't expect this to be a permanent move. I think we'll see Grossman starting some games for the Bears.
The Bears now have a chance. I was watching a game from back in the day; it was Eli M & Old Miss v Rexie & UF. Part of the summary was Grossman gets sacked for a safety and throws 4 picks. It just reminded me that RG has been overhyped and terrible for quite sometime. Why Wanny, Nick, or Cam did not acquire him is beyond me?
I don't have high hopes for the Bears this year. Their defense is going to have to be so good it keeps them in games. I'm just not feelin' it
I was talking to my friend who is a die hard Bears fan, and it's depressing hearing him bitch and moan about the offense. Being a San Diego fan, I'm spoiled with a high-powered offense to compliment one hell of a defense. The Bears, for years, have had such a reputable defense, it's sad that their offense has held them back.
Really, they didn't have much of a choice. Grossman is finished; he's a marginal backup at best. Orton probably the same... but at least there is some unknown to him. With Grossman, you know what you are getting... and it aint good.
i dont get why they didnt go after chad pennington, he still has some skills and could help out the bears horrible offense
