Butkus. He'd tackle you, bite you while you're on the ground, then step on your throat with his cleats as he was getting up.

LT was a pass rusher, Ham did everything and Lambert was intimidating and was a smart player. Butkus was siiick too.

Harry Carson was just as tough and smart as Lambert and a better athlete than Ham.

The '85 Bears' outside linebackers were pretty amazing in their own right. They blitzed and they tackled. They often blitzed and tackled guys when they were getting the handoff.

LT was a great linebacker, but was vastly overrated by the NY media

If anything, LT was underrated. And if the media has any relationship with the Giants' organization, it definitely doesn't involve hyping them or their players.

I lived in Ohio at the time and I heard way too much hype about him.

I'll clear this up though, i love LT, and i like the giants a lot, i just think Ham as an OLB, did a little more, converge wise at least

That makes him better than LT?
Mike Weir is a better putter than Tiger Woods, too. That's not a bad representation of the gap between those players, actually.

Not that I agree that Lambert was a better cover LB. He wasn't.

85 Bears had offensive linemen who dropped back in coverage.

    I'm a homer :)
