I know Manny hasn't played long for the Dodgers, but has any player made a bigger impact on a team? He already has 11 HRs, 34 RBI's, and .403 BAVG in only 34 games.
The fact that the likes of Miguel Tejada and Jason Giambi have won MVPs, but Manny Ramirez has not is another reason I hate steroids.
Can a player even win the award after switching leagues mid-season? If they can, I'd have to say he's up there. The Dodgers are a much, much better team since Manny joined them.
Rick Sutcliffe was traded from Cleveland to the Cubs in 1984 and won the NL Cy Young Award after going 16-1 the rest of the way. Not sure Ramirez has played enough games for people to give him full consideration.
If any player that was traded at the deadline is going to win the MVP, it'd have to be Sabathia. While Manny has been enormous for the Dodgers, Sabathia has been flat out brilliant and should be up there the Cy Young at the very least, and maybe the MVP.
