Ninjas aren't hindered by peg legs or eye patches. I'll put my money on ninjas.

Ok fuck the pirates vs. ninjas idea, I see the errors of my ways. How about Vikings vs. ninjas for a twist?

Vikings were a great mix of power and craftiness.

On the other hand, there's a reason they never sacked Tokyo.

When the Vikings were around, however, wouldn't they have tried to sack Kyoto instead?

I'm confused, aren't Vikings to pirates what a doberman is to canines?

Probably. And then, true to Viking style, become a part of Japanese society. Norman-Nippon...Norpon.

What about ninja pirates? Wouldn't "Yarrrr, mehearties" sound odd if spoken through a bandana with a Japanese accent?

Nyet. Pirates are basically the pretenders, they stole all of their best moves from the Vikings (like Rock n' roll is just a rip off of the Blues) and to boot I don't recall any stories of Pirates working themselves up into a blood frenzy and throwing themselves naked into the heat of battle with a giant axe or broadsword, seems they mostly tooled around in tropical climates, wearing frilly lace and twirling their mustaches.

As for Vikings vs. Ninjas, it's a tough call, but I think I'd put my money on the people who stumbled onto Canada 600 years before columbus.

    I'll make it easy:

    who would you choose?

What the hell is with some of you guys. All HCP did was list some great centers and listed their first years stats and said just something to think about. Anyone that is bitching about any particular center missing is free to make their own topic and include them. Shit now we have to worry about making sure we are perfect in pleasing other posters before making a topic. This is getting way overblown for no reason.

    Wow, okay....GRAMPS.

And, apparently, were put to flight by the Native Americans, considering them spirits and goblins.

Vikings rock, but let's not overstate them here. Pirates had better style, IMO, and ninjas never lose.

I believe I said this elsewhere in this thread, but I'm more interested in why people are selecting certain players for their bar vs how comparable they are to Oden as I find Oden to be extremely unique.

Fuck that! If these threads arent up to the standards of being published in the NY Times then I dont want to see them. I want you to spend days on research before you post any thread!

In my view, it is that Shaq, Robinson, Olajuwon and Ewing have crafted the modern fan's image of a franchise, Hall of Fame center. So those are the players that get used the most, even if Oden doesn't exactly resemble any of them (though I think he bears a lot of resemblance to Robinson, based on his long, athletic and stacked physique, intelligence, footwork, soft touch and great defensive instincts).

Actually, minstrels (well, skalds) were a major part of Nordic and Viking culture. And even the Viking warriors had a great love of epic poetry and song.

Yeah, but when he started singing songs of peace, they pitched him over the side.
