I can't agree regarding ninjas, but since there were no ninja armies, it's hard to compare.

Mongols FTW, anyway. Huns and Goths had nothing on them.

Probably. Not sure skalds sang songs of peace, though. No Bob Dylans.

Oh the irony. Is that why they call it the minstrel cycle?

    Sorry, bad joke. :dunno:

Robinson was muscular, but he never had the girth that Oden will have as Oden is just naturally a bigger man. I've just never been a big fan of that comparison. Also, I'm not a fan of Ewing's so I automatically discount him.

I look at the offensive progression Zo, Amare, Moses and to some extent Dwight made as an arc for Oden. The difference between Zo as a Freshman and Zo as a Senior was tremendous.

Not to worry. Heard it quite a few times over the past decade on message boards.

Was Conan a Mongol? or was he a viking? It looks like he chilled around with Mongols.

I hope you are joking man. Somebody has gone on here and changed this thread title. Is that in the rules? I would like to not have my name associated with something I didn't type or create.

I'll take credit for this magnificent thread I had little to do with. My starting post would be

    I'm only half-joking.

The name of the thread changed because of the number of personal insults that were included in it (and remember that you threw the first stone) and it got super-sidetracked into ridiculous (if funny) ninja/pirate madness. The original name of the thread was kept as a parenthetical. This is a pretty standard way to rename a thread, in my experience.

Further, the thread content was excised to another thread so more productive conversations could continue for those who wished to talk about your original point.

Finally... why are you taking things so personally? Why do you care if your "name" is on a thread that was renamed? And why does it seem like you're bitching so much lately?

I guess he doesn't want to be associated with stupid threads lol. He wants to maintain his image, and reputation among posters as a chivalrous knight like Sir Lancelot.

You really think I threw the first stone? Here we go again. Lets go back and see if these guys had just talked about the topic at hand, it would have never gotten out of hand. And if you think i'm the only one who took offense to the way these guys acted you are wrong. It looks like to me about 10 other regular posters around here also thought those guys were out of line. As for your second point, I don't want it to look like I started a thread on our BLAZER forum about Pirates. I see some of the threads guys start on here and would be quite embarrassed to have my name connected to such a bad topic. First off, I didn't realize people could change peoples thread titles. That's not what I typed on my computer, and would appreciate it if you took my name off it. It's as if I am being misquoted in a newspaper article. thankyou. If it means anything, I would love to get back to talking about basketball. This never happened at BBF.

You called him a prick. You called him a jerk.

You were absolutely fucking ridiculously out of line.

I know you work for the Blazers, and I know that you love the rah-rah stuff because of that. There is NO REASON for you to personally attack other posters.

You started an entirely legitimate thread, and some people didn't see a lot of value in it. Whether they were right or wrong in their judgment is immaterial, because they did not treat you with disrespect the way you treated others.

And now YOU are playing the victim? Still? Give me a break. You're acting like a child. All day long you've been whining and complaining and bitching and sniping.

That leaves, what, two dozen that thought it was fine?

The simple fact is that you are the only one who clearly violated the terms of service by personally attacking another poster, and you keep pointing fingers at others even after you ADMITTED you were wrong.

It never happened at BBF because it was much more heavily moderated. If I were moderating at BBF, I would have argued that you should have been suspended because of your unprovoked and entirely inappropriate personal attack.

Here? The rules are more lax. I think that it's more fun that way, and I think that most of us would agree.

With these lax rules, though, come some responsibility. Responsibility to not continually whine and play a victim, I would argue, is a key one.

This is the comment you call in question...If you read the evolution of the thread you see cpaw giving pointless one liners then evolving into condescending smart ass one liners. HCP simply asked why he was being a "jerk or prick" AKA being rude and condecending. I think you are very mistaken in this matter EdO

HCF, as an outside observer and one who thinks you were messed with a bit, the best thing to do is to let it go. After all, we're all friends here, even those who have the poor taste to root for the L*kers...cough...DaRizzle...cough.

Me working for the team has no relevance on this topic. I didn't call them a prick or dick, I asked why they were acting like 'em. Please take my name off the thread.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
There's no such thing as "taking someone's name off a thread."

I think it's clear from the title that it was re-named, so I don't think you have to worry about people thinking you made a thread about ninjas and pirates.
