I would've cried if Yao got hurt. We can't afford another injury! And especially in the beginning of the season. That was some hoe ass shit! I hate players like that!

Shit, I woulda really CRIED. We got so much going for us this year, we've got all the pieces, I'd be really really really really really really really really really pissed off if some punks screw up our chances.

Joker, this isnt my clip, I got this from another rockets board, there's probably a better one on youtube...but you can see Howard stick his foot out on the right side of the screen, when Yao comes running full speed thru the top of the key.

Here's the entire sequence, for context:

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZqAcmURpA8Q&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZqAcmURpA8Q&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Yao blocked Howard, on the way up the court there was contact between them. Knowing Yao's personality, I'm sure that was inadvertant on his part, and (knowing Howard's personality) Josh Howard was probably flopping for effect. Anyways, given that, I think its likely Howard intentionally stuck his foot out.

Josh Howard, after tripping Yao, probably said, "I piss on the Chinese flag just like I piss on the American flag"

Howard's got a reputation for hard fouls, he roughed up Tyson Chandler not too long ago. I also caught Dirk giving Yao an elbow in the game...Ron got fouled too, but the refs swallowed the whistle, all Artest could do was laugh it off. I really applaud Ron Artest for the way he carried himself, he's a real classy cat now.

Yeah it's amazing what Bruce Bowen gets away with. Howard's seem more obvious though (w/hard fouls and his attitude attracts more attention than Bowen's sneakiness most of the time at least). If Howard did that hard foul (the one where Artest stepped in and got the tech) on someone like Ben Wallace or Artest there would probably have been another brawl.
With Howard's reputation and publicized problems, and the fact that he always messes with Yao who's a superstar with lots of fans and value, maybe things will be different.

And the more people write to the NBA, ESPN, etc., perhaps they will feel more pressure to do something about it. I've already written to them.

If not, I just hope Howard gets injured.

Josh Howard tripped Gordon on a fastbreak tonight. The guy is a doorus. Maybe he should work on improving his defense if he doesn't want Dallas to be as soft as a marshmellow in their interior defense.

He should be suspended, since it is now a trend.

I don't really wish injury upon players in basketball however there are two players that I would not mind getting career-ending injuries: Bruce Bowen & Josh Howard.

You can call it low or whatever, but they fully deserve any inch of injury that they will inevitably endure for the rest of their (hopefully short) careers. I squeal in delight every time I see them hurt.

May they have a painful one. Ay-Men!
