I don't understand this franchise at all. They were not willing to max out Elton Brand, but they are willing to pay Zach Randolph close to $15M a season, which is more than Brand is making in Philly? The Clippers could have been a playoff contender with Baron, Brand & Kaman. A legit front court which functioned well together. A superstar point guard capable of picking up the scoring slack when Kaman & Brand are being double teamed, an up and coming small forward in Al Thorton, and decent bench.
I dont get this at all... They actually were going to have money in the summer of 2010 to at least offer some good players. Now they trade for Randolph when the team has 0 chemisty already. It makes no sense, I dont know where this franchise is going, but they arent making the playoffs anytime soon. The only good thing out of this deal is that now we get to see what Eric Gordon can do.
Do you think they'll trade Marcus Camby now? Hard to justify paying him $8M to come off the bench when you're a lottery bound team.
Im not sure who they would trade him for. This roster is a mess and I think they would have better luck trying to move Camby next year as an expiring contract for someone who is still looking to get in the 2010 race or a team that wants to cut even more space. The Clippers roster is a mess so I dont even think you can predict what will happen, because the entire roster should be torn down in my opinion.
