Brook will be better than Kaman. i think he's bigger and slightly quicker than Kaman... Brook is playing at half a pace if that makes sense because he really doesn't want to be a liability in the D. he's been playing great so far and once he knows it like the back of his hand, his D will be much more smoothly....

Both guys have a good touch around the rim... wouldn't move Lopez ever!

IDK why, if you look at my track record a BBF.com

I'm the one that said Tyrus Thomas was a bust waiting to happen, I said Randy Foye was overhyped, I said batum was the best Euro prospect in the draft.

Now that I don't feel I need to defend RJ, I agree. Although RJ is still the better all-around scorer.

Yes, but Simmons is the better all-around player. nobody cares about RJ or josh smith.

Brook is certainly catching on fast. In five games as a starter, he is now averaging 14.6 PPG on 59% shooting. 69% FT shooting (no hack-a-Brook). 9.0 rebounds (3.6 offensive). 1.6 blocks. Just 3.8 fouls. 1.0 turnovers.

Question: Last year, how many rookie bigmen averaged 14 and 8, on 50%+ shooting? Answer: None.

How about in 2006-07? Answer: None.

How about 2005-06? Answer: None (Villanueva comes closest, averaging 13 PPG and 6.4 RPG.

How about 2004-05? Okafor! His FG% was low, but we'll take it. Dwight Howard was close as well, but scored just 12 PPG.

Are you getting the sense that Lopez could be kind of special?

Your track record is why 90% of those people went against your perception.

Calling Batum the best euro prospect doesn't take much. He had top 10 stock the entire year until he hurt his knee.

He could be but you are throwing out his bench games... don't think you should completely dump them. And we don't have a large sample size of his starting games, either.

I'm excited. Although I think the refs will catch on that he uses his off-hand to push off a lot.

yes, I'm cheating. To be fair, I should also throw out the bench games of the other past rookie big men. And, of course, there is no guarrantee that he can continue this pace his entire rookie season.

I'm really impressed by the inside moves and the rebounding. He's no longer giving up as many offensive boards to the opposing center as he was early in the season.

yes but as soon as boone's heel gets well brook will be on the bench again messing up his game and the only reason will be that he's a rook...
