Russell Wilson, who was ranked preseason in last place for best QB in the ACC, has been named on ACC first team at QB and Rookie of the year in the ACC. He has earned the nickname "The Magician" after his amazing plays on the field mostly using his legs to escape pressure, but he is a pass first QB. Its going to be interesting next year when Mike Glennon (top 5 QB last year) comes off his redshirt, and if him and Wilson will share some time.

Russell Wilson's stats: 1769 yards 55.2% completions, 16 TDs 1 INT, 134 QB Rating, and longest active non INT streak. He has had 4 TDs dropped where the ball was very catchable, and about 3 drops per game especially by WR Owen Spencer who had 5 drops in one game.

I'm not saying Wilson wasn't impressive this year, because he was, but the ACC doesn't exactly have many (if any) great QB's, so his rise to the top isn't really surprising. There's just not a lot of talent at that position in that conference right now.

Should be interesting to see how Wilson and Mike Glennon battle it out in the future down in Raleigh.
