I would have to disagree. Caron put up very good stats in his one year with Miami and in his one year in LA. The guys got all sorts of talent and has really improved every facet of his game since he went to Washington.

Well he had two year in Miami. First year with 57 losses and the next year with 35 losses...guess who came to Miami that 2nd year...Wade

His year with the Lakers was 48 losses

so like I said, his stats are inflated since he has been playing on crappy teams. Im not saying he isnt good, just that his stats are inflated because he has become the default go to guy on sub-par teams

The Washington teams have not been crappy besides this year. And he wasn't the go to guy until last year, Arenas was. Butler still put up great numbers.

You forget that his year with the Lakers, he, Odom and Kobe all missed significant time. Beyond that, they had an awful coach after Rudy T stepped down.

Nooo....I'm just saying that that team was bad mainly because of missed games and a coaching change a quarter of the way through the season. I don't see how his stats are inflated by these "bad teams". He was in the playoffs what...3 years in a row in Washington, and put up really, really good numbers in each of those years. The guy is a very, very good player, and his stats are hardly overinflated.

Let's see, what's more important, a big or a small?

Neither Pau nor Caron are that much "better" than each other. Small forward is one of the easiest positions to fill in the league, powerforward is not. If I had to pick one, I'd definitely go with Pau.

I'll go with Gasol, a lot easier to build a team with a big.

You would have to be absolutely crazy to choose a wing over an All-Star big man. The only time that makes sense is when the wing is one of the truly elite players in the NBA. Caron Butler is not that.

Not even close. Players like Caron come out of the draft every year. Big men like Pau who are so graceful, efficient, and productive are once in a while players. I'd take Pau over Caron 10 times out of 10.
