YEAAA 20 replies! woooohoooo. my first successful thread i understand that there is youngsters on this team, i guess i may be comparing it too much to Portland. they are full of youngsters are playing at a high level. so maybe my expectations are too high. but Frank's coaching hasn't been quite well over the last week. we can't even say it was against good competition either. i mean these are teams we should have beat but we didn't... we shouldn't settle for mediocrity. We have one of the top international prospects, the Top C from the draft, pure shooters lined up, two all stars and a solid bench in the making... why aren't we playing like an above average team? Frank over his course has been given better talent and a more balance roster than B. Scott had. Frank has had a solid roster over the years and yet this guy doesn't get the job done? where is the urgency or growth in coaching. he's say the same crap and delivering the same results... are we going to keep reshuffling the roster?
Portland has a young club and it has been like 4 years of rebuilding to get where they are now, the nets are doing it in their first year with only 25% of the season completed. What frank is doing is near a miracle concidering what he has to work with...
That has to be one of the most ridiculous posts I've ever read on any forum. One thing I'm disappointed with Frank is him folding on holding his players accountable at the defensive end. The defense is near the bottom of the league and that is inexcusable. Especially from him. I think Devin has assumed more than RJ's place behind the trash can after practice. Guy use to be a good defender. You can see he barely plays any now. Just like RJ last year. He wants to make the all-star game by scoring a lot. That's his goal. Other than that I think he's done a great job this year.
He's an overachiever IMHO. I can't stand his style of play but I can't call him anything but a good coach. Getting rid of him would solve nothing and likely compound current problems.
i dont know man, frank sux for in-game substitutions but he seems to do all the other stuff pretty well. id give him a few months to see if he can get the rooks to gel. if not, I'd can him in march or at the end of the year.
I'm sure there's been funnier posts, but to the idea that when B. Scott was coaching, his squad had less talent compared to the squads Frank had is not funny, it's true. Scott had that team playing together way more better and competitive than Frank ever did. It may be from the character of the two squads but there is a difference in them. Frank was given the luxury of nearly having 3 all stars on his roster every year til this year. results, 2nd exit. Scott really had one, maybe 2(was Kmart an all-star cant remember should been but not sure if it happen) and two finals appearance. if we were to match up B.Scott roster vs. any of the 3 or 4 years roster that Frank had, on paper the talent is greater on Frank's side than it was on Scott's side.
Players 1 through 8 were way better on the Scott teams. There is no denying that. He had an all-star pf (yes Kenyon was an all-star), he had a younger pre-knee surgery Kidd, RJ, Van Horn, Todd Mac, Collins when he could still jump, Kittles, Harris, A-Train and Johnson. Frank has had an older Kidd, RJ, Carter and the likes of Jabari, Buford, Wright, Malik Allen, and Magloire. Jesus Christ there is no comparison.
Oh, wait, I forgot to reply to your retort few days ago, you said that after first season game, half teams in the league can win over the other half teams. Your sucking-ass-kook statistics theory really sucks, one game is not used in statistics, and don't even try to compare it to 19 games. And those games are winnable, if we haven't won those games, then that's why we call him decent, not great.
Eddie Jordan is a very good coach, and it is a shame that Avery Johnson is not coaching. However, I doubt Rod would bring Eddie Jordan in as a head coach, and I don't think Devin wants to play with Avery again. Mitchell and Cheeks aren't very good. Jury's out on Wittman and Theus, as they are early into their careers, but they would not be better than Frank.
She wouldn't understand your illiterate ramblings, either. Seriously everything I said went completely over your head. Speaking of which, how do you justify the Nets losing to the Raptors before? We had a better record: how did we lose!
Please enhance your reading ability, I believe even a 5-year-old child can understand what I said, if your momma doesn't understand, then I just feel pathetic for her, oh, and you.
