The East is better than the West.

It's more top heavy (3 teams), but the West has a larger amount of good teams

Since Roy has been a Blazer, Portland is 25-9 in games decided by 3 points or less.

Roy = clutch. One of the best all-around players in the game and has definitely taken the leap this year from star to superstar.

Harris is outstanding, don't get me wrong. I know myself and most Portland fans were hoping we could find a way to acquire him at the trade deadline last year.

How do you figure that? The East has 2 of the top 3 teams in the NBA, has a better W-L record against the West, and has only one REAL crappy team (Wizards), while 6 teams in the West are absolutely horrid.

You also have to consider that the West plays more games intraconference, and 40% of those teams are virtually easy wins.

The quality of the playoff teams in the West is higher, but overall East is better.

Even this argument is in favor of Roy - since the Blazers are 7-1 against the east this year. :drumroll:

I'm not sure what you mean by "even this". I've responded to every point you made, you didn't. Stats speak for Harris. Relative team success speaks for Harris. He's dominated games more than Roy. Roy has been a better closer... mostly because Nets haven't had any close games that came down to the wire.

As for this point, I wasn't specifically responding to it in the Roy vs. Harris debate, just in general.
And yes, Blazers are doing very well, and I've never denied it. But they were expected to. New Jersey wasn't.

Can you please re-read the last sentence of that post?

Roy has been averaging almost 34 ppg over the last 3.

The guy really picked up his scoring when our team struggled and try to simply will us to victory. Hasn't worked though.

Interesting. Well then Roy's 52 last night wasn't much of an accomplishment either?

    Harris > Roy

I think Chutney was referring to Steve Nash being a terrible defender. Roy wasn't matched up against Steve Nash last night.

astral said "Correction. I haven't seen Roy "take over" a game. He plays well and consistent, but if you're talking about taking over games, Roy hasn't come close to what Harris has done this year."

That's funny since Roy has taken over plenty of games, even prior to yesterday's game.

I like both players a lot... but if I was starting a franchise I would go for DH.
