I don't want to lose Krstic for nothing. Can Thorn pull off a sign and trade? Get Chris Wilcox? Desmond Mason? Joe Smith? A pair of socks? Anything?
Krstic to OKC Krstic is about to sign if he hasnt already a $16 million, three year offer sheet with the Thunder. He has bought out his Russian contract. Nets have the right to match, but are unlikely to, because 1) they had a chance to take him in the summer at a lesser amount and didnt; 2) they have 15 players under contract and 3) the offer sheet extends into 2010-11. The Nets could, in theory, play some poker in hopes of working out a sign-and-trade (and it wouldnt have to one for one). They didnt hang on to his rights for nothing. http://www.netsdaily.com
Re: Krstic to OKC Yi is not going to be traded...period. Nets would sign Krstic and then try to do a deal. Take a look at the roster. Thunder has a lot of young big men, none that good. Petro? Wilcox? or...Earl Watson.
Re: Krstic to OKC I'm surprised a team like the Bulls hasn't gone after Krstic. They are starting Aaron Gray. Kristic could spread the floor for a guy like Rose and play pick and pop with him.
I don't want to lose Krstic for nothing. That contract he was offered isn't that bad. If they can't sign and trade him why not just match the offer sheet? Only takes up 6 million in 2010 right? Waive Ager.
Re: Krstic to OKC Well article says he's close to signing, I think OK City brass hates that this got out. But I'm sure Krstic being the man of his word, will sign with them when he terminates the Russian contract. I'm sure 75% of the NBA teams were sleeping on the Krstic situation.
Matching that offer sheet, if there is no other option available, is a risk worth taking. If Krstic can regain some of his form then his contract could become a trade asset for later on. It's only 3 years. Trade him or match the offer, don't lose him for nothing. I'm going to be really disappointed if they lose him for nothing.
Wonder if the 3rd year is fully guaranteed. I could see that little detail not making it to press and that will be a big influence on the decision.

Ah, my favourite Net. Glad I get to see him play but I know being a fan of the team, I would not want that contract. I hope we could get Johan Petro, Mouhamed Sene or even Robert Swift even though they aren't good, they are the type Kiki and Thorn are looking for.
Let's trade Sean + Boone + Hassell for Nocioni, and match th Krstic offer! Devin/Dooling VC/Hayes/CDR Noc/Simmons/Ager Yi/Anderson/Najera Brook/Nenad/Stro And we can get back Marcus for 3rd string PG when he is waived
I dont' really see how trading for Noc helps signing Krstic. If anything it hurts your 2010 position quite a bit. But I'll gladly make that trade as a Bulls fan
The Bobs want a center and have been interested in Brad Miller. Maybe Nenad is of interest. I doubt Nenad is married to signing with OKC. Maybe we can swing a deal for Wallace? Nenad and Hassell for Wallace.
