i like to have all those 3 bigs in a nets uniform plus boone, krstic and a terrorizing low-post presence (a 20pt on 50%fg/10reb/2 blk guy like al jefferson who operates primarily on the low block)...stro and SWat are out...
I'm surprised nobody, to my knowledge at least, has made the connection between Yi and everyone's favorite Net of all-time - Keith Van Horn. Never seeing Yi play before this season I noticed this like the 2nd game of the season....I mean the guys like a reincarnation of Keith. His moves are eerily similar and hes a player like Keith who's too big and not really a good enough ball handler for the 3 and too soft for the 4. I do think Yi can turn it around and make a contribution to this team over the next couple seasons but not worth resigning after that.
Fixed it for you. Fixed it for you. Fixed it for you. Fixed it for you. Fixed it for you. Fixed it for you. Fixed it for you.
Ly_yng is right. "Having your head on straight" is just as much a skill as shooting or dribbling. Some guys got it and those guys don't. With respect to Tyrus... I think he's just got a very weird, very moody personality. Supposedly he "gets it" now, but I've heard that every season. I expect he'll throw up a couple more clinkers before long and start sulking again. But I hope I'm wrong.
Yi played very well tonight. The shot didn't fall in the first half, but he still played hard and the effort and hustle was there. His shot started falling in the 2nd half and he played very well tonight. He did get blocked by the rim though on his dunk attempt, which was hilarious.
Yeah, Yi's approach was much better even when his shot wasn't falling and he showed some mental toughness when he air balled that jumper but still came back and followed it by knocking down a couple of jumpers. He also showed some ability to drive to the basket. It was quite an impressive drive to. Got to the rim real fast. Let's see if he can keep it up and keep the same approach of mixing his game up when his shot isn't falling and not just stand on the perimeter.
