Anyone see the fight? According to everything I've read, Holyfield was robbed of a decision to win a heavyweight title. I don't know why people from the US fight in Europe if it isn't in the UK. Corruption in boxing is disgusting. I want to see this fight, to see if he really was robbed. http://sports.yahoo.com/box/blog/bo...t=AopqRoohL0mojM1JPQ68_oWUxLYF?urn=box,130517
Taken from the link I provided. If Valuev's corner knew he lost, then there is obvious BS here. I feel bad for Holyfield. I really hope he can get a rematch. He trained his ass off for this opportunity.
He's already robbed himself of all of his dignity. He got his paycheck, so whether he got screwed by the corrupt jackals that run boxing is really irrelevant.
From the thread title, I figured some little old lady beat him up outside his hotel and took his wallet.
I agree Mamba, I don't understand why they go to Europe, usually it's Germany, I mean I love the country, have lot of family there but you're right that there is a lot of corruption in boxing in Europe. Also Holyfield should just retire, its about damn time. lol
This match was complete bullshit. Holyfield clearly won all twelve rounds. Is there any way this can be reversed? It is so obvious that he won the fight, it's ridiculous.
The fight wouldn't have been sanctioned stateside, so Deal took his chances going overseas. Won't be the last time its fixed to keep the belt away from America. Another bad day for boxing.
I saw the fight and i have to say i was surprised when Valuev won. Valuev was so sluggish and slow, and he rarely threw a punch. Holyfield did surprisingly well and won most if not all rounds. I was sure Holyfield was going to win and found it funny when Valuev was throwing his arms up at the end thinking he's going to win. I think there was some bias involved.
