man mcadoo was only 6'9 and didnt win till he got to the lakers! bad example! next? sheed can go in the post at will, just doesnt like to for some reason but remember when he came in the league he was in the post and 15 ft out. he worked hard to develop the 3 pointer. horry isnt a 7fter but ok. he can shoot the j but he also can put the ball on the floor. he had a pretty good handle for a big man and he finished at the rim hard. yi doesnt compare in anyway to these 2.
He never said 7 footer, he said jumpshooting big and that's exactly what Mcadoo was. Back then there weren't many 7 footers period.
He was still a big contributor to a championship team. I guess we shouldn't consider Garnett's championship as valid because it wasn't with the Twolves? Does that make sense?
he won those rings in his last 2-3 years of his career. he played well for them but you cannot compare him to yi or garnett. he was like who joe smith is now. a journeyman. i dont even think he started on those teams.
He was a 6th man on those teams and scored in double figures, he won a championship with LA as a 6th man when he was 30. Look if Vinnie Johnson was an important part of the Bad Boys I don't see how you can diminish Bob Mcadoo.
Here is some video footage of Dirk as a rookie. He was pretty fast and athletic back then: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eo_7LUIFBzY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eo_7LUIFBzY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> More: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/w4iVH26cFec&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/w4iVH26cFec&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/FUMB7JnDq8Q&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/FUMB7JnDq8Q&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zQHzRqX3UzE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zQHzRqX3UzE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Here is a Chris Bosh rookie mix video: http://www.sendspace.com/file/7jaret Bosh was taking guys off the dribble and driving into the lane for some monster jams as a rookie. He was finishing strong even with his slight frame. Showing some ability to go one on one. Haven't seen much of these kind of plays if any from Yi.
