Because honestly, I just don't see it anymore.

What adjustments did he make in this game?

I saw him take Boone out just as he was playing great defense and disrupting the Bobcats offense, block shots, creating deflections, etc. Dooling seemed to play playing well, and Simmons was hitting 3's. Doesn't Frank have some set plays where he can use Dooling or Harris to penetrate and kick out to Simmons and Hayes?

He's better than what's out there and most of them coaching in the NBA.

The biggest problem with Frank is that he OVER coaches. Just as your example furnance, when a player is playing good he takes him out just because he wants to bring in the starter. He needs to just stick with what is working. I remember a game last year where Sean Williams was killing it, disrupting the Hornets offense and frustrating Chris Paul to no end. The Nets ended up coming back in that game and then in the final minutes of the fourth he took out Sean and the Nets lost, sound familiar? He over coaches and over thinks simple things too much sometimes.

Devin Haris and Vince Carter combined:

    33 points on 12-36 (33%), 7-9 FT, 2-6 3PT (33%), 7 REB, 6 AST in 75 combined minutes.

Production like that from our two stars just isn't going to get it done. And you're blaming the coach?!

it wasn't the coaching last night. it was the player's lack of exeuction down the stretch, plain and simple. airballs, missing 2nd chance points, etc.

I didn't watch the game, but I read that Simmons missed his last 5 shot attempts. That doesn't sound like someone that was hitting their shots. Sounded like a smart substitution.

There was definitely poor execution down the stretch, lots of missed shots.... i stop watching it with 5 mins left in the 4th. Devin needs to sit down with any pg in the league retired or active and understand when someone is open under the basket, dish it to him!!! several times, mostly on the pick n roll, Lopez was WIDE open under the rim but Devin forces the shot instead that gets me so frustrated, luckily Devin makes the most of them but he does have his misses therefore we missed guaranteed points...

We lost again! again coming out the 2nd half FLAT.... when is it on coaching??? i mean again at what point is Frank's job in question? this guy has an infinite leash or something... he "may" be a good Xs and Os guy and perhaps will be great at commentating at games since he luvs to TALK about his team and their opponents weakness and strengths with numbers blah blah blah... geesh, he has yet to improve at all, honestly we should've lost that pacers game, we got lucky cuz of Devin hittin a buzzer beater, his lack of adjustments and his damn ranting on the sideline is getting annoying. this IS NOT FOOTBALL, i'm hearing like 5 different plays being called out and him yelling at everyone to get into positions, let the guys just F-ing play....

oh yes someone should send Frank the tape between the Wolves and Knicks from last night, maybe he'll learn or realize he can beat small ball by playing to their strengths and pound them inside.... just an FYI for him....

    1. Because the Nets have already won 14 games...integrating eight new players and seven players under the age of 25 into a team that has beaten the Suns, Hawks, Jazz, Raptors, Sixers, Pacers on the road. Most pundits had the Nets winning between 19 and 34 games.

    2. Because he has developed Brook Lopez into a first rate NBA center. (Previous criticisms that he didn't "develop" great young players like Brandon Armstrong, Tamar Slay, Zoran Planinic, Antoine Wright, Mile Ilic, Marcus Williams and Hassan Adams are now invalid.)

    3. Because he set up an offense to take advantage of Devin Harris' speed that has turned Harris from a 24 year old in Avery Johnson's dog house to a 25 year old in the first rank of the NBA's elite (I would be interested in any other examples of such a transformation.)

No one thought this team would be any good. In spite of last night's loss (which led me to throw my scorecard and leave the game early), they have a good chance of making the playoffs. He ain't perfect. He also isn't a finished product.

No good coach would leave Boone in at the end of a close game, no matter how good he was playing on defense. Hack-A-Boone would be employed. He's too much of a liability on offense.

    1. Yet we lost to the likes of the knicks by playing small ball, Pacers, blown out by the Wiz, MIAMI 2x when we had leads entering the final minutes, blew 22 pt cushion to the same Jazz we beat on the road, Chicago after leading nearly throughout the game... i would also say Golden State too however they can always shoot themselves back in but i think Frank went small ball again with them anyway.... those were games we should have won. i'm not sayin every loss should have been a win but this ones i listed we were winning most of them only to get screwed by Frank's decision with the lineup changes

    2. THANK GOD he is developing Lopez, we finally get true legit 7 footer (whose not flat on his feet either) i can only think what if Boone never got hurt... oh yea greatly appreciate Frank pulling out Lopez in games against weak Cs in the final minutes, he may be a rookie but he's not playin like one

    3. the transformation is unique, the closet i think of coming close may be duhon? he's havin a gr8 year. however what about the other 4 players on the court, he may elevated Devin's game but what about the 3 , 4 n 5 spots? other than VC, we need to spread the D by getting those guys into the game. Defensively though by playin zone, he is negating Devin's speed and quickness and lately he's walking up the court instead of pushing it where i think we all can agree that he's at his best by pushing up the ball

I just hate seeing the potential being wasted, now i do agree its still on the players to perform but the schemes/designs/lineups are on the Coach and it's frustrating to see that Frank doesn't realize what's working and what's hurting us... i swear i think Fratello wants to jump out and coach lol
