We will know by this afternoon if the Nets will match...highly, highly unlikely, but things can change overnight.

They did in February 2006. The Nets were trying to avoid the luxury tax and were willing to trade one of their 2006 picks (the pick used to take Boone) along with Marc Jackson to the Bobcats...just to get under the tax threshold. Then, the night before the trade deadline, Jake Voskhul went down with a season ending injury. A couple of days before that, Chris Anderson had been suspended for two years for violating the NBA drug policy. The Hornets were desperate for a back up center. So the Nets offered Jackson and Linton Johnson III to the Hornets for Boki Nachbar.

Looking around the league, I see the Thunder wants to get rid of a big man, the Kings may deal Mike Miller and the Grizzlies' Darko Milicic is out for two months with a broken knuckle.

    Ya never know.

Hmmm... Collison makes $6.25M and the QO to Krstic was $5.7M and the offer sheet was 3 years ~$15.8M. Even with BYC issues, a straight up deal would work. The Nets are $10M under the LT threshold, so they could take on Collison's salary with room to spare.

Not sure why OKC would want to get rid of him tho.

Oh well. Krstic was good but never saw him as a starting center. Hopefully he can improve his defense and post d.

Darko hurt. LOL LOL what is so funny people believing this kid is anything but the 2003 version of Kwame Brown

Krstic's offer is for $4.78 million the first year. It is pro-rated, meaning it will cost the Thunder (or the Nets) about $3.5 million this season. I dont know how the pro-rated nature of his deal effects CBA trade considerations.

Pretty sure trades use annualized salary.

How about Thabo Sefolosha and Cedric Simmons?

Well Sean Williams was assigned to the D League..maybe their trying to make some moves to open up a space?

Edit*- Never mind just realized he would still tech. be on the 15 man roster....
