There really can't be any more doubt. Devin Harris is a top tier NBA player on the level of players like Chris Paul, Joe Johnson, and yes, even the elite players in the NBA. The numbers tell the story.

--He is the sixth leading scorer in the NBA, behind Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki and Danny Granger, just ahead of Chris Bosh, Kevin Durant, etc. He is also 11th in assists, 1st in free throws made, 3rd in free throw attempts.

--He is third among NBA players in Best Games, with five of the top 100 and two of the top ten, the only NBA player with two games in the top 10, nos. 5 and 6. Wade is first, James is second.

--In Hollinger's Player Efficiency Ratings, Harris is fourth, behind James, Chris Paul and Wade.

I don't see any reason to believe he will drop back. People talk about this being the year Brandon Roy emerged. Harris is having a better year than Roy.

cant we all just agree that Roy and Harris joined the elite this year?

pretty cool trade for the nets looking back. now we got an elite backcourt. hopefully this will lure an elite frontcourt player.

Danny Granger is an elite NBA player? Very good, sure, but elite?

I agree that Harris is at that level, though. He's got to be considered the best bargain in the NBA.

Elite is of course subjective, but in terms of his numbers compared to others, he and Harris are pretty close to even. They've been switching around at five and six in scoring. He's had four of the 100 best games and is very underrated. And yes, Harris, who is starting a five year deal this season, is the biggest bargain right now in the NBA. He makes $7.8 million this year and goes up to $9.9 million in 2013, when he will be 29 years old. THAT may be the single most overlooked aspect of the Kidd trade...Harris' bargain basement contract.

I think the only thing Harris lacks is decision-making ability. There are just some times that frustrate me when he either forces shots or takes too many when not shooting well at all.

    What's not to understand:

"no no do not deleted sailor moon! harris is good so celebrate with celebration pictures!"

He clearly wants to celebrate Devin Harris. With Sailor Moon.

    Makes sense to me.

Devin Harris is an above average player. Elite? Stephon Marbury was once considered elite as well.

Whats more ludicrous, putting Harris` name next to the word elite or the other thread saying Harris` decision making is horrid at best.

All you nets fans are freiking BLIND if you think Harris is not hogging the ball. 1) Because of his contract year 2) It has gotten into his head thinking he is an all-star.

Vince Carter is suppose to be the universal no.1 offensive weapon on this team, he is 3 times the better offensive player than Harris is or ever will be, go ahead and quote me and i will destroy you in a debate in this thread.

Actually putting his name next to elite. He shouldn't be mention along the likes of Kobe Wade Lebron or chris paul. Still he needs to improve his decision making
