glad to see something happen with him. i'm guessing they couldn't find a deal that they liked.

It might end up helping his trade value some. If he goes down there and plays well, it might make a team more interested in him. But I guess at the same time it could hurt him too...if he can't make it there, who is going to think he'll be able to produce on the NBA level?

I still think this kid has a bright future, but he still needs some time to develop. Good move by the Nets

Thank God! I was afraid Nets would give him up for nothing. If he manages to regain the form he had in the beginning of his rookie season he may help the Nets or be traded for some nice value in return.

Does sending him to the D-League open up a roster spot?
    If so... interesting timing.
Maybe it could indicate something will happen with Krstic?

He's still on the roster, still at 15. Nets will still have to do a 2 for 1 deal or waive someone for Krstic.

when in doubt, send stro back to Memphis

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2982~829~111&teams=29~29~17&te=&cash=

Nets get a roster spot (and a contract that is off the books by 2010), Grizz get a big to take up minutes while Darko is healing and more cap room at the end of the year.

Could do the same thing to the Kings for Kenny Thomas. He'll be off the books by 2010 also

Great news for us. If this doesn't wake him up then he isn't an NBA player.

"Mad" Anthony Wayne was a Revolutionary War general. Among other things, the town of Wayne, NJ, was named for him.

SWat should come ready to play even in the minor leagues...the team he is joining features 4 veteran NBDL all-stars in eddie gill, billy thomas, kaniel dickens and elton brown plus performer of the week josh davis plus 2 nba draft 2nd rounders in sonny weems (taken before CDR) and cheikh samb...if he fails to flourish here he can kiss his NBA dreams goodbye...on the other hand if he flourishes and contributes the team will truly be a powerhouse squad which is almost sure to win the title and will increase his profile and team's interest in him a bit.
