Yeah, last game especially. The Nets ball movement consists of handing off, rather than passing around the perimeter, which focuses more on driving. 3pt shots usually come off kickouts. But even that type of ball movement seemed to happen less last game.

Also maybe it was everyone on the game thread yelling at Devin's defense, but I did notice that he doesn't really get into a defensive stance (did he before?). Dooling always does.

The Bulls are a perimeter/backcourt team and the Nets really missed Keyon Dooling last night.

This is a DIRECT result of Devin Harris' atrocious basketball IQ and selfishness. The man has never seen a shot he did not like and doesn't make players around him better. In fact, the only player I see consciously making an effort to swinging the ball around is Vince and *shudder* Bobby Simmons.

i think either VC or Lfrank need to show him an old video of when he was a lock down defender. he doesnt even attempt to play D. when it was 94-86 they swung the ball to Dharris side and Ben Gordon hit an uncontested 3 pt with Dharris less then 3 feet away. he didnt even put a hand up.

Also with the pick and roll he only looks to finish its rare that he looks for Brook Lopez on the roll.

This thread isnt intended to diss Devin but he is slowly morphing into Allen Iverson, instead of becoming the Kevin Johnson i think he is capable of becoming.

Devin's D is going to get worst cuzz he has to waste more energy on offense than he used to.

he wastes more energy by choice. brook lopez has the ability to score on the low post and we rarely give him any opportunities. he actually allowed a defender to get by him so he can leak out for a lay-up. thats bad basketball. i think he will correct. it might take someone scoring 40 on him for it to happen but he will correct it

To be honest guys, i agree with everything said here and i'm not gonna lie but i wouldnt be upset if we traded him.. not at all as long as we get a pg in return... send him to portland for Rudy F and Blake (or Bayless) and or Batum... throw in Swift too

Buddy, that is up to the coach to decide. Frank calls the plays. Frank made the mistake promoting the dribble drive to the preferred offense in training camp when Lopez clearly had the low post skills. Frank needs to correct this by forcing Harris to give Lopez more touches. How does Lopez only get 9 FG opportunities in the Chicago game when their F line sucks.

And what are you suggesting to trade for? You think VC can carry this team with a bunch of rookies and butterfingers? The only point guards I would trade Devin for is Chris Paul and Derrick Rose (futuristically speaking). And I doubt either team will ever allow that. So, cross your fingers and hope that we trade away Simmons, Boone, and Yi for ANYBODY, ANYBODY OUT THERE that can take an assist and put it in the hole consistently.

And again, Devin can pass, but if his teammates can't shoot, then there ain't nothing more he can do to help the situation.

I have noticed more than a few times that as him man approaches, Devin is looking over each shoulder...to check who's behind him...and his man usually puts a quick move on him and is gone...Devin has missed his chance to cut him off. It's almost like he isn't worried about staying in front of his opposing guy. Very quirky...and he looks a bit lazy as he does it (well, maybe a bit too casual, not lazy).

The kid who burned him (was it the Houston game) played him...Derrik Rose picked up on this too.

    Hmmm...

I'm still a big Devin fan...he just needs to bring some balance back to his overall game.

my biggest gripe with him on offense is his use of the pick & roll. he rarely looks to pass and only looks to finish on that particular set. on Defense i don't know what is going through his mind. he's not even trying .

LBJ/ CP3/Wade/ VC/ Oj Mayo all play more minutes then Harris and are required to carry a team offensively and they give effort on D. whats most upsetting is that when Harris does play D he is a better defender then all of the guys i listed
