He's not professional. I don't know how he spent his summer, but he came out being the same ZERO he finished last year. Plus those raves: "Apparently I'm not the one they want to develop" tell you something about his head. Self-criticism is definitely not his virtue.

How quickly we forget, there was a stretch where he was the best player in training camp. Not every player puts it together immediately and luckily for us we have the luxury of having bigmen where we can wait this out a little. The kid needs to figure out his role in helping our team and developing a comfort level with a wider range of skills so we can try utilizing him in different situations. His quip about development is not completely unfounded as he's been sitting on our bench as a cheerleader for the past month. Getting PT in the NBA is not the sole place for him to develop and it took the Nets way to long to put him some place he could get the time he needs.

He put in lots of time. Don't remember Frank started him at the 5 due to how much work he felt Sean put in over the summer and camp?

Why at the 5 though? His frame is not good enough to bang with most Centers in the league.. They should develop him as a PF imo. He could become a similar player to Josh Smith from ATL

SWAT will never become the player Josh Smith is..... the only similar attribute is the shot blocking and thats it...

I think we didnt anticipate of SWATs arrival was that he really struggles in boxing people out and just post D on them... his body is just too frail for it...

6 fouls in 5 minutes happened.
Just adding to your list, too bad he doesn't stay on the court long enough to show much.

What you saw in the rookie-sophomore game were skills that have nothing to do with being a five...but that's where the Nets needed him. He says he wants to try being a three. That's what Frank said last year, that he has some skills at the three. He is not going to develop them with the Nets. It's going to take a lot of time down in Colorado...and he got "lucky" last night. James Mays, who plays the three for the 14ers--and was their leading scorer, tore up his achilles.

Swat will need to bust his balls to play the 3 as a pro. Would be awesome if he can do it.

If Sean can be a 6-6-and-2-blocks player, I'd like to see him play alongside Brook Lopez.

he can be a more athletic najera-type player is he gets his head on right and works hard...if teams really aren't interested in him i wouldn't mind him on the nets' bench for the minimum...
