You know what i like about the shot the most is the defense set up at the 3 point line, and carter very coolly, and effortlessly pulls up like 10 feet beyond the arch and drains it. In your face Atlanta, clearly you don't respect my range!!! He is a complete basketball player, and the most clutch shooter in the nba...

Haven't had time to read the previous posts deeply. But remember something about Vince tonight: That was the play of the night(barely). His defense at the close of the game, in which he defended, consumed, blocked a shot, and then planted and took the charge all in a 5 second span will never show up in the stats; it was a game changer. And this from a Vince-Hater.
As for Yi, he AND Najera played a bunch in the 1st half... down 20. Yi goes away, Bobby recedes into secondary role and voila! Deficit goes away and so do the Hawks.
Answer: Trade YI and Simmons for the rights to TJ 'my head ain't so big anymore' Kidd.

Maybe you want Vince's point guard to be Mario Chamber, a secondary role, and won't hog the ball from VC...

Two things some of you are forgetting
    - Yi did NOT play during the "Comeback" in the 2nd half
    - Harris brought us back in the game in the 3rd quarter.

oh yes, you just don't watch the game or you select to change the game in your mind. Yi play the whole first quarter, nets fell behind as 16:21, in the second quarter Yi didn't play until 3:11 left, nets had fallen behind as 23:41, the big meltdown isn't Yi's fault, when he came to play the third quarter, nets catchup with 54:60, so Yi had the second best +/- stats next to DH, and Yi still the best season +/- stats holder in nets.

In my book, You call yourselft a nets fan, but actually, You just a Yi hater, I know you want nets good, but I have to say you are not a professional fan, your basketball sense just not great, A professional fan not just watch the game, the worst part is you even change the game in your mind, you need to study the game, analyze the game, I am very sure nets's coach don't agree with you at all, it isn't for the market.

Yi isn't great right now, he can't hit a shot, but he do well in other aspects recently, he still improve, I don't just watch the shooting percent.

When a player become a stats leader through 33 games, it's not just lucky, you need to do a deep study into it.

Watching Yi play makes me cringe. The guy is out there to hit shots, and if he can't hit WIDE-OPEN shots, why keep him on the floor at all if you honestly want to win a game?! He has no defense, is soft, and can't box out to save his life. Yes, I hope he develops in to an exceptional player, but I'm not willing to lose for his development.

Why do you watch the Nets? They just traded Kidd and RJ for young talent to develop. I'm not saying Yi is that great, but show me another player that can do what he does still under the rookie contract.

After you keep querying about Lopez is not a good help defender, I keep myself to observe Lopez much more.

In fact, he is a very good help defender, that's one of the reasons that he always has many blocks, most of his blocks are from the help defense.

He is quick enough to do the help defense. Overall, He is really quick with his big size. 7 feet and 260 pounds, with very long arms.

Yi can't stop the big men inside, and that's why our defenders always come into the paint for help defense, then their outside shooters kill the Nets easily.

You just don't learn the game very well, why take out Yi, nets fall apart? nets terrible defense not Yi's fault or not just Yi's fault, Yi has the best season +/- stats, you need to go to the basketball school study form 1 grade :), if Yi every time get on the court then be killed, he does not get the best season +/- stats.

Yi always to help defense and sometimes he lost his man, other teammates fail to help him out, the result is everyone blame Yi always lost his man.

Yi always move his step, chase the little man, who are you think the more move than Yi in nets? who are you think a 7 footer can chase the little man in NBA?

lopez isn't a good defender right now, he even not better than boone at defense, yes, he can block some shot, rebound the ball well, but he always fail to guard the post, he let his opponent layup easily or has to foul, his post defense experiment still very poor, even not better than Yi.

but lopez still a rookie, he did ok.

lopez isn't very slow, but isn't that quick, he is something like Chris Kaman, yao ming guard Chris Kaman very well, yao ming don't afraid of the not so quick center, unfortunately lopez is not the quick one.

Are you even watching the same game? How many points did Horford score while Lopez was in the game? Last night was an exception because we had a good def. effort from a few people in the 2nd half but most games Lopez is the only one playing good def. He gets hung out to dry most nights because theres a few people in our starting 5, not naming names, that can't cut off someone driving at all.

I've watched him play a bunch of legitmate big men very well this season.

Your boy Yi is horrid on def, and you have no legitimate arguments. You really wanna bring up easy layups? Thats your boy yi not being able to guard anyone on the perimeter or in the post.

guys guys! the more important observation here that is being neglected is that a Coach Hill lead Nets team came out strong in the 2nd half! Frank had 30 so games to do this and fail, Hill had one game and pulled it off! why isn't anyone talking about this??

the players seemed relaxed, the lineups weren't constantly changing, hell our original starters got us back in the 3rd Qtr with gr8 overall D. it helped that everyone was hitting their open looks of course, but just looking at them was much more convincing as they actually knew what to do. The IZOD was crazy!!!!!
