whether it be a team or a certain player. I personally can't stand losing to the heat, more specifically Wade. I also hate losing to those dudes north of the border.
heat, raptors, knicks, and celtics. Heat because they kept bouncing us out of the playoffs for a couple years. i respect wade, but shaq was a jerk and talked a lot of smack when he was with the heat. and of course Zo always showing his lack of class against the Nets. Raptors because they hold a grudge longer than my ex-girlfriend when i decided to sleep with her sister. haha j/k but seriously raptor fans. LET... It.. GOOOOO. Knicks because marbury used to talk a lot of smack about being the better PG than j-kidd, they are our rivals from the same area, and knicks fans always look down on the nets. Celtics because I am a Yankees fan and a Giants fan and i cant stand the patriots or red sox, or the city of Boston
This is a great thread. Because I'm out of state, many of the games I watch are through the opposing team's TV feed. The teams I hate to lose to the most are the teams where the opposing team's TV announcers are the most biased and annoying. Sometimes even a loss can be enjoyable to watch, but those games against those opponents are just a total drag as a viewer. The top two teams right now have to be the Celtics and the Heat. I'm not sure anyone else even comes close.
Because I came to the Nets as a Vince fan, I have to say Raptors first. But Dumpy makes a good point about opposing team's announcers. No announcer has ever approached the bias of Tommy Heinshon (sp?), although I personally find his level of bias amusing sometimes. With every young player on the Celtics, he says something like, "Once he gets that mid range jumper down, boy, he's gonna be an allstar in this league!" And he means it! You gotta like anybody that loves their team that blindly. The announcers that bother me more are the ones that are a little more subtle, like that Lakers color guy (whose name escapes me). Man he really annoys me, but I admit that's largely because he sucks the sweat out of Kobe Bryant's jock strap while I pretty much despise all that he stands for. So I would have to say losing to the Lakers is a close second to losing to the Raptors. Heat would have to be third, Spurs fourth. Knicks, eh, they haven't been good enough in years to make a rivalry matter, but I'll slide them into 5th just because of the Jersey inferiority complex factor.
Surprisingly not Raptors. Vince has won all the big games vs Raptors. His 1st return (37pts), His 3rd and biggest return (42pts game winner), the 2007 Playoff Series, and the 2008 rematch (39pts GTshot GWOop)..hes already proven his point, so now if(when) we lose there, its all good, hes done enough for me to be happy. But the team I hate to lose to the most are the crappy teams, Kings/Wizards/Grizzlies. I can handle losing to better teams, but those teams really sting.
You ever hear the Blazer crew (and Mike Rice in particular) call a game . . . they are worse than the Blazer fans. I figure the Blazers have to be up there when it comes to west teams . . . but you tell me, who has the most bias announcers in the west?
I can't really answer that. The Nets play those teams so infrequently, and have no chance to win anyway.
Heat and Bulls. First, I hate Wade and Heat. Secondly , I don't want Harris looks like a loser to Rose.
