The team is finally getting healthy and there's a new level of excitement with Monta Ellis back. Do you think he Warriors are capable of making the playoffs with a strong second half? They have a lot of home games remaining the rest of the way. Do you believe?
Well, the problem is that West is still ridiculously strong. Currently, Suns, Dallas, and Utah (7th to 9th in West) are projected to win at least 46 games, and Warriors have to win at least 47 games to make PO. In order to do that Warriors have to go 34-4 for the remaining season...
Not to mention Utah could get Boozer back and healthy, then some other teams could possibly be dropping too?
Anything is possible. Tim Duncan could get hurt, Nowitzki could get hurt, T-mac/Yao could get hurt, Chris Paul could get hurt, Amare/Nash could get hurt, Kobe/Bynum/Gasol could get hurt, Deron Williams could get hurt... etc.
I believe.... That the Warriors will have a shot at POs next year. If they can manage to trade Crawford/Maggette and maybe Jax
Maybe these 1 point losses at the last second are kind of blessings in disguise. The Warriors don't have much of a shot at the playoffs, so more losses mean more lottery ping-pong balls. But since the Warriors are the Warriors, and always strive for the 11th-13th pick in the draft, they may go on a win streak and get such a pick.
golden state already has 31 losses. so even if they win out, they only get to 51-31. to have even an outside shot at the playoffs they would need to get to 48 wins. so unless you think they have a shot at going 34-3 the rest of the way, they don't have a shot at making the playoffs this year.
