Link Finally, things in the domestic league in Brazil were going down hill, maybe now the clubs will regain control and make this championship work.
Re: Brazil: BRA - New National League Brazil has produced some solid basketball players. There's no reason for their lack of a solid league. Good news.
Re: Brazil: BRA - New National League The reason why Brazil went downhill with their championship was that the national confederation that was in charge of it was full of not professional, power driven people, specially the president. Let's see if they can follow the modest, but efficient Argentinian model.
Today the NBB will start. I am planning to do a big thread with all the teams and rosters. Let's see if I will have the time and will to complete it.

Since in Brazil they use some different terms to call the position of a basketball player, I won't translate all of them 'cause it would give me much work, anyway here is a comparison of the terminology: Armador - Point Guard Ala - Shooting Guard or Small Forward Pivô - Power Forward or Center Some players are also called as a Ala-Armador or Ala-Pivô, that means they can play more than one position. The "probable starters" are in the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 order of positions.
