Yeah, that won't happen. Yi is piece of shit, Anderson is okay. Not nearly enough heading to Phoenix talent wise. If this were next year and Amare was causing problems in the Suns' locker room, and they had to unload him, I'd say maybe.
I mean yeah 68-75M on the books for last 4-5 yrs is real cheap. I guess the whole NBA is cheap since 23-25 didn't have that much on their books. No one in the NBA wants to pay luxary tax really and most of those traded picks were because of D'Antoni prefering to get FAs over young guys. Suns have proven to pay for FAs and would pay Amare if things weren't going like this with his attitude and such. That deal is fucking garbage.
The Bulls can easily match this. But I fear that they're falling in love with Tyrus Thomas too much to pull the trigger. Don't get me wrong, Tyrus has been great as of late recently, but you don't pass on trading for Amare because of Tyrus. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...4~3032~3041~1727&teams=21~21~21~4~4&te=&cash= Simple trade. Needs to get done.
Wow, a fuckup, another fuckup, and a fuckup with an expiring deal for Amare Stoudemire? No offense, but are you high? Who does Phoenix build around? Yeah, they got one decent expiring deal in this. But this early in the game, they need a lot more than that. ANY Amare deal involving Chicago needs to involve either Gordon or Deng, Gooden's deal, probably Noah, and draft picks. Remember, Phoenix doesn't have to get rid of him (yet).
What I was trying to say is that first round picks might not entice a team that has a history of selling them.
Ah, well their preferred deal is to get a young player with a lot of potential, expiring(s), and pick(s). If they're gonna blow it up, they'll want to keep picks now. Besides, with Kerr, they've actually kept 3 picks.
In terms of development, I'd like this trade for Yi. He goes to a team with a PG who has proven that he can help players become better (Stoudemire). Harris was too concerned with his own points and production for Yi's benefit, and Ryan's for that matter.
I never understood the "cheap" tag on the Suns. They did take on Shaq's $20M salary, too. They've been paying the LT for a few seasons.
