House is borderline, but if you want to include him I can name off Kirilenko and Miles for the Jazz, Nocioni, Gooden, and Thomas for the Bulls, and Camby and Ricky for the Clippers. Along with Posey, Mo Pete, and Chandler in New Orleans.

Davis West is the only viable weapon and arguably your boy James Posey. Have you seen Peja lately? His skill level has gone to shit.

Well, then maybe Rondo can get his assists a bit easier than the other guys mentioned here..

But that doesn't make him not an all-star..

Looking at his triple-double, he also had 15 rebounds!!! 15!!! with KG on his team, the smallest guy on the floor grabbed 15 rebounds. Which i think was the high in the game.. this even against a 7-footer in Dirk..

Plus he also had and usually has an AWESOME FG%, which maybe just means that he takes less shots because of his superstar teammates but also means that he makes MOST of his shots.

Also his Assist:TO ratio is usually great, which shows that not only does he get the ball to his teammates/weapons, he also makes good decisions most of the time. So it also reflects a lot of talent on his part.

That being said, I don't think Rondo having weapons makes him less of a player. Assisting is just one dimension of his game.

Rondo is underrated throughout the league because he hasn't played that well in big games so far in his career. Plus, people think that you can just throw anybody out there with the big 3 and they will be fine. That would be true if Pierce, Ray Allen and KG were dominating the ball, but they don't. The entire offense is run through Rondo, and he successfully distributes the ball equally to all 3 superstars, and does it very efficiently, too.

I think Rondo is a good player but I don't think he's that good to be an All-Star yet and I do think it would take a bit longer for him to become an All-Star as long as he has the Big 3 overshadowing his abilities. Besides that, I think that a true test of whether he is capable of being an All-Star is if he would be able to consistently lead his team and be visible in the process. Good but still not great.

    He's good.. Now.

But think about it, would you expect a 2nd round (?) pick to be this good?? He's got potential, and he's just 22 (?)

Give him maybe 2 to 3 years, he'll be a monster.

He was actually a late 1st rounder, but your point is still valid.

I actually think Rondo would have better numbers without the big 3. He has the ability to score 20 a night, but he doesn't have to here. His assists numbers would probably go up, too, without having a player like Pierce running so many isolations.
