I think he's the ideal 3 for any contending team. He can work in any style of basketball and, as long as his head`s on straight, he brings such defense.
This is usually when the opposing team runs away with the game. We`ve been giving up the paint up to this point, but eventually your shot has to dry up a bit. The Raptors never have a solution for that instance, and it shows.
He fits beautifully as it is alongside Yao. Fucking TSN2. I can't even watch it online, streaming is crap.
Yea, I'm close to giving up on this stream. It's too freaking choppy. And the worse part is it lags every time just as the shot clock winds down. Also, the Raptors' passive play is giving me a headache.
the beauty of artest's game is that he doesnt need to score to dominate the game. artest can alongside any star and enhance their game.
Having downloaded most of the Houston games this season, your assessment is quite correct. What he does on the defensive end makes him valuable every single night. Sometimes he can be a ball-stopper in the offense, but when he drives to the basket (especially going left, his pull-up jumpers and penetration is lethal), or posts up smaller/weaker defenders, he's extremely useful. Also, he brings heart and comes to play every night. Can't say that about TMac.
Locke how bad do you think what T-Mac pulled with the Rockets this year was compared to what VC did in his last year with Toronto?
Just as bad. He comes into the season out of shape and plays horribly, then shuts it down. Says he'll only play 1 game in back-to-backs to rest his knee, then shuts it down completely. Then sometime later he says he's fine, then quits on the team again. Nobody can find anything wrong with the damn knee, so it was his word against doctors, and he went around the country looking for a doctor who'll back him up until he found one. Opts for surgery and announces it through Stephen A Smith, without the knowledge of the Rockets. I believe he actually was hurting, but you can't say that nobody in the NBA feels hurt. Ron Artest alone has played through more injuries this season than TMac probably has his whole career. A little pain is unavoidable, but when you're a little bitch like TMac whining about it every chance you get, nobody will support him anymore. It really makes one question his commitment to the team. Now TMac didn't do the things Vince did like tip the opponents or demand a trade and he probably didn't mean to fuck up the team, but just the fact that he can't carry himself like a professional athlete makes him as bad as Vince IMO.
I'm actually starting to believe McGrady was worse. I know that's like blasphemy around here, but T-Mac's done this for an entire season whereas VC's lasted for about 2 months. Additionally, you could somewhat see a reason for VC's discontent (our constant losing), whereas McGrady's playing on one of the best organizations in the NBA with one of the league's best centers and literally has nothing to complain about.
Well TMac never struck me as someone with a desire to win, so all he would care about is collecting paychecks. Another thing I'd guess is his public image. He always wants to be the darling in the public's eye and with Artest coming in this season, the focus was off TMac. So he throws a fuss. With each comeback he attempted, he claimed he was back at full strength and ready to dominate. Then when he shoots like shit he says he's gonna be a playmaker, that we don't need him to score. Or comes up with excuses and blames teammates like he did after Toronto killed the Rockets. I agree, he's been nothing but a distraction this season in that regard, you can say what happened with Vince was "better" because he got out of Toronto by Christmas and rid us of the baggage.
Damn, how did we give up 22 to Carl Landry, thats just sad. I didnt watch the entire game but it seems as though the Marion-Bosh-Bargs front court can definately do well together at the offensive end. Our bench needs to be shored up though.
I would LOVE to see Rockets make the 2nd round without T-mac <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VuOdf8tQXKQ&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VuOdf8tQXKQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
All i can say is its amazing that three Raptors had a great night statistically (Bosh 25, Bargs 25, Marion 18, you can even add Jose with his 16 assists) and we still lose. BC has a lot of work to do this offseason because the inconsistent and lack of depth on this team is killing us
