http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=11926 Yi didn't almost miss half the year, he only missed 16 games, which is only about 1/5 of the season. Seems to be the Nets organization trying to cover Yi's horrendous start to his NBA career and the fact he looks like a bust every game he plays.
Given how little his teammates pass him the ball (both on the Bucks and on the Nets), I agree that he hasn't played much. It's like they are playing "keep away" from Yi...
I think it's unfair to call him a bust this early in his career, since everyone knew he was going to be a project when he was drafted. If he's still performing like this next year or the year after, than you can consider him a bust. However, he's still young and is still developing, and everyone knew he was going to take a little time, so it's somewhat unfair to call him a bust this soon.
You're right, it's premature. I've just been disgusted with his play and he doesn't seem to be making any progress.
