It will probably be Derrick Rose, and it's well-deserved. I think the Bulls will make the playoffs, and it will be because Rose (a rookie) led them there.

Whether the youngun can handle the pressure of playoff basketball, I believe we'll find out this year.

Derrick Rose really helped his case tonight by destroying Russell Westbrook.

    That's inaccurate.

Derrick Rose came in and played great along with Ben Gordon in November and part of December. Getting the Bulls off to a good circus trip. Then basically since the News Year, Rose has played pretty crappy, with just flashes here and there.

Ben Gordon has easily been the Bulls best player all year. John Salmons has arguably been the best player since coming here (I'd say it's a tie between Gordon and Salmons).

Rose has a lot of talent, but he isn't producing on a consistent basis. To say he is leading the Bulls is silly, although he is playing an important role, and is one of the guy who can take over games (or in Rose's case, it's really more of taking over stretches of a game.)

Rose will win it. At the start of the year, he and Mayo were the top 2 rookies, and were levels ahead of the competition. Mayo has tapered off, leaving Rose as the prime candidate. Westbrook and Lopez have both come on strong, and at the same time Derrick Rose has slowed down, but it's probably a little too late to change the perspectives of people now.

Because a number of rookies are contributing significantly?

    It's a strong class.
