The draft day trade is really starting to go heavily in Minnesota's favor....not only is Love matching upo nicely in contrast to Mayo. And on top of that...tey get Miller, who will be a great trade value next year (last year of contract) and Cardinal is proving to be a great value who will also be on his contract year next season. And 'Sota pawned off Jaric's ugly as hell contract.....

Mayo's upside is still much better than Love. Mayo will be a top 10 player in the league in three years max, quote me.

Ummm...your missing the point....Mayo would have never stayed in Minnesota or in Memphis for that matter...he's going to bolt to a large market team the first chance he gets. I'drather have a potential 20-10 guy who will stay with my team, than a scorer who is on loan for 3 seasons while we rebuild....Quote me...lol

You can't say how well the trade worked at by that assumption because we don't know whether or not Mayo will leave Memphis when his rookie contract is up. I don't know how Minnesota is going to work out in the future with two undersized big men starting. Mayo just needs a better coach who lets him have more freedom and drive to the basket more often.

No coach would ever disallow a player to drive to the hoop.

Assumption? Like the assumption that Mayo will be a top 10 player in the league? That kind of assumption?

    Lebron James
    Kobe Bryant
    Dwayne Wade
    Dwight Howard
    Chris Paul
    Deron Williams
    Chris Bosh
    Brandon Roy
    Tony Parker
    Kevin Durant

Who out of that 10 is Mayo gonna knock off?

    Hell even:
    Danny Granger
    Derrick Rose
    Rajon Rondo
    Blake Griffin*
    Ricky Rubio*

Thats not even including Mr. 20/10 Al Jefferson and future 20/10 Kevin Love

Saying Mayo will be a top 10 player in three years is a stretch....to put it mildly. And if you think Mayo will stick around in Memphis if he does get to as high a status as you say he will?!? Seriously...why would a talent such as himself want to stay there going into his prime when many teams will be dangling mad money and big market teams will be more appealing due to more exposure. And it's no the coach who is disallowing Mayo to drive to the basket...it's Mayo settling for too many jumpers...

And actually I can say that as of right not the trade did work out better for Minnesota...with Love proving to be a rebounding machine and still going strong late int the season (actually getting better) while Mayo is fading. And on top of that 'Sota gets Miller, wo is pretty good in his own right....and will have major trade value this off-season. Cardinal is proving to be great backup and his contract ends at next season's end.

Now going on to what Memphis got....A. Walker....ehem....moving on....and Jaric's albatross contract...nuf said....I would have to side with Minny on this one.

As upset as myself and many other Wolves fans were initially upset with trading away Mayo....I think many have come to realize that we have a much better shot of keeping Love when his rookie contract expires....and I hope Memphis fans will not put on blinders and realize that a well...at least before two seasons from now when th'er shopping him around in order to get something for him before he bolts....

And to see how 'Sota will work out with Big Al and Love in the future....as far as I could tell they were doing pretty damn good with it when they had the best record for much of the new year before Big Al went down...with a true center in Minnesota...a trio rotation of Big Al, Love and whatever solid center (hello Chandler?...lol) will be great. Now if we had just kept Mario Chalmers....ugh....

    It's Rubio time!!!

Ummm...I think it's refering to the fact that he hasn't hit the "rookie wall" rather he busted through it. When other rookies were fading down the stretch, Love was getting stronger.
