In my attempt to revive the NFL section, I want yall to predict anything that can, may, and will happen during the NFL season. I'll go first obviously with my five. 1. The Cowboys offense won't be same without Owens. It may be a gut feeling but now that everyone basically turned their backs on T.O. the next person under the microscope is Tony Romo. He won't be able to handle the pressure. Even with Roy Williams, who is a headcase alone, the offense will take a while to click. Though I expect them to have a great running game it's just the passing game that will be lagging behind. 2. The AFC East will be beastly. Patriots get back Brady. Bills add T.O. Dolphins build on last year. Jets revamp their culture under rookie head coach Rex Ryan. Enough said. 3. San Diego secures a playoff spot early. I mean come on, they play in arguably the worst division in the NFL this year. The Chiefs are rebuilding, Oakland is still under Al Davis, and the Broncos... yeah... 4. 49ers will go under the radar. Whoever plays QB for San Francisco will be in a great situation. They are surrounded with weapons from Frank Gore, Issac Bruce, Josh Morgan, along with rookies Michael Crabtree and Glen Coffee. Their defense may still be a liability in terms of run defense but the addition of Dre Bly should help and resigning of Takeo Spikes. Not only that, they have one of the easier schedules playing the NFC North and being in the NFC West. 5. Ed Reed wins MVP because I said so.
I'm heading out of work, so I'll fill in explanations later when I get home: 1. The Cowboys will be better without T.O. 2. The Eagles' offense will improve, but their defense will slightly deteriorate. 3. The NFC East will be the strongest division in football, yet again. 4. Giants' OC Kevin Gilbride will be fired at the end of the year. 5. Crabtree will be the league's best offensive rookie.
Patriots vs. Falcons Super Bowl Matt Ryan or Tom Brady is the League MVP Michael Crabtree is Offensive Rookie of the Year San Francisco wins the NFC West Green Bay, Chicago, and Minnesota all go into Week 17 with a chance at the division.
Steelers will win the AFC North but probably make it to the Conference finals. However, Ben will have his second best passing season and make it to the Pro Bowl as a first reserve as one of the original 3 gets hurt. Pats are too hard to gauge for me to say anything for them. Chargers will win 11-12 games. Patrick Willis is DPOY.
