    He said if everything stays the same, we can get three more titles in the next 5 years. His original prediction was 4 titles in 6 years.

    If that happens....:cheers::party:

    Just have to get Bynum going if we want to lock this up.

    And pay Ariza/Lamar. :[

    They definitely have the potential. But it isn't going to be easy. Lebron and Dwight are only going to be getting better. Spurs and Celtics, if they can stay healthy, can compete as well. Miami is set to be able to get a max free agent in 2010, and hve Beasley, who should turn out pretty well.

    Lakers are in the right conference though, because in the East right now you have Magic, Cavs, and Celtics which are all near 60 win teams. Heat and Bulls have young pieces as well.

    The Lakers have an aging Spurs team, and a combustible Nuggets team right now as their main competition. It'll be much easier for the Lakers to actually get to the finals for a chance to compete then it will be for Cavs/Celtics/Magic.

    I don't know, the East also has garbage in the early rounds so a contender there might be more fresh before playing the real competition. It is open out there.

    I still don't get your infatuation with the Cavs. Unless they make a drastic change this offseason, they're never going to be anything more then a good regular season team. And the Celtics window will soon be slamming shut with their big three all in their 30s. I can easily see the Lakers winning 3 or 4 more titles with this group, as long as they keep this team together, which I think Dr. Buss will after seeing how successful we were in the Finals.

    I also don't see anyone but Magic competing us until a major trade goes down. They have many talented players who aren't too old and Dwight has a lot to improve. If he can hit the hook shot and FTs next year, it's going to be tough. Celtics are too old and Cavs aren't going to win with LeBron only. Nuggets will be stronger, but nothing too scary. If we can sign Odom, Ariza and play season with no big injuries, we're stronger than ever. What's even more awesome, Bynum can get to his A game, while Ariza and Shannon improve their game. All we need is to be patient and little bit lucky.

    teams will make moves, lakers might make some themselves.....still too early to tell. They are the champs, but it took them 7 games to beat a banged up rockets squad, the west will be tougher (please trade shemac), and guys like bron, melo, howard, wade, and paul aren't going anywhere anytime soon..........it's takes a special team to formulate a dynasty or even to repeat for that matter........

    ^ Its how you finish baby! Titles are never won easily. Yet, we stand tall a 4th time this decade. Rockets? Yet to win one.

    I think the Lakers did a very good job at making people think that Rockets series was a fluke. No way we'd go 7 with them, again. We beat a better Denver team and a better Magic team.
