I know Rocket fans would love to deal McGrady, but what would you want for him at this point in his career from the Knicks?

I know you've given up on 'her' but the $23,239,600 expiring contract is a viable asset for the Rockets to make use of. The downside of dealing with the Knicks is taking back Eddy Curry or Jared Jeffries.

Would you deal TMac for Curry ($10.5M, 2 years left) & Hughes ($13.7M, final year of contract)?

what you should do is somehow get david lee into houston, he could be a real asset to your team.

Wow, please just leave the forums now. Knicks have nothing valuable to trade us for McGrady. I still have faith in McGrady and I think he can be a vital part of our success next season. Fuck the Knicks. Let Tmac play his last year here

i think the rockets would be willing to take curry(or other bad salary) off the knicks hands as long as something of value came with it.

there is no way to no if tmac will be able to contribute anything at all on the court next year. his time as a rocket is done. when he was healthy he was great, but that time has passed. the rockets should use his huge expiring to get something if something of value is out there.

I would deal McGrady as long as it's a fair trade. Stephen Curry (#8 pick) and David Lee + Eddy Curry for T-Mac would be a fair trade. This article is suggesting the Rockets would deal T-Mac for expiring contracts. Why would the Rockets trade an expiring contract that has the potential to lead our team to the finals for terrible expiring contracts?

Some writers need to stop writing BS to please (Knicks) fans.

Yeah trading expiring contracts for expiring contracts didn't make much sense. The Rockets would need to get a pick or cheap young talent in return. I doubt the Knicks would include their draft pick, but Lee + Eddy Curry for McGrady might be a realistic trade for the Rockets.

If the Rockets re-sign Ron Artest they'd be a real power house in the West.

I doubt their pick is offered
Rockets should NOT go anywhere near Curry's contract.

and I'll take signing Ron this year and Scola next year over adding Lee
Curry's contract would handcuff Houston next year

They should get Tmac ONLY if this would lead to a clear up of cap space for 2010... otherwise the knicks are stupid for trying to acquire him

Houston sends Tracy to New York

New Jersey sends Vince to Houston

New York sends Wilson Chandler, Quentin Richardson, and Cuttino Mobley (expiring) to New Jersey.

Keep an eye on the Ben Gordon situation in Chicago. According to Yahoo McGrady wants to go to Chicago.
