"They didn't even make an offer to me. That was kind of surprising, but I guess it's part of the way they do business. I'm moving on, and I'm happy with my decision."

We're going to see that as often as possible by the players.

    Ouch.

Well, they did technically make him 2 offers and he turned them both down. They just didn't make him a new offer. So f him.

Gordon is full of shit to me, the Bulls made two 50+ million dollar offers the last two years to this guy. I think if he had any respect for the organization and the fans he would have at least waited to hear the Bulls offer before fleeing to Detroit less than 24 hrs after the start of FA. Congrats BG you got what you wanted, now stop trying to make yourself seem like the victim.

 Did paxgardorf forget the FA signings started yesterday? Is that why BG should have waited a bit longer for their offer?

^ If he wanted to be a Bulls he could have done it. To say the Bulls didnt even make an offer, as the reason why he signed with Detroit is BS. Its like walking out on a hot ass girl, because she showed up at 5:15 when she was suppose to show up at 5 :NOTMARIS:.

If this had been five days into FA and the Bulls had not made an offer than he would have a point.

Well if the Bulls wanted to make an offer to Ben Gordon, then that makes them look even worse. If that's the case, then we have some real morons in the front office, who don't understand that you have to be aggressive in making an offer to the league's top free agent.

And Gordon gave them a chance. Raymond Brothers called the Bulls after Gordon's visit with Dumars, giving the Bulls a chance to match, and they said they don't have a contract offer for Ben.

But you could argue that if the girl really cared, she'd show up on time. And this hot ass girl didn't seem too interested, since she brought in John Salmons and looks to be keeping Hinrich to play backup PG/SG.

And you cannot compare Chicago to a hot ass girl.

It would be like a hot ass girl, if she had the Herp. Otherwise it's a woman with saggy tits who is a couple years past her prime yet still hanging around at the college bars.

There is an article up today on hoopshype, too lazy to post it, stating that Raymond Bros called Chicago telling them the Pistons had made an offer, but not telling the Bulls how much the offer was worth, thus not giving the Bulls a proper chance to counter. Then before the Bulls got an offer together the deal with the Pistons was done. I don't know to me Gordon didn't really want to be hear, 60 million dollars 48 or 72 hours into FA is still more than 55 million in 24 hrs. He had nothing to lose and everything to gain had he just waited it out an extra day, imo.

The Bulls didn't have an offer, and never were going to have one. Raymond Brothers asked for a counter offer, and the Bulls wouldn't make one. Brothers has no obligation to share the Pistons' business with the Bulls.

If the Bulls really wanted Gordon, they would have had an offer ready at 12:01. Gar Forman lied to everyone about re-signing Gordon being a top priority. He fooled us. But no one will take the dimwit seriously again when he speaks, now that he has a reputation of being a liar.

You do realize that he tried to accept an offer last year only to have it pulled.

The Bulls weren't going to bring him back unless he was willing to play for, I guess, the league minimum.

Ben's stayed classy through the last couple of years. The Bulls... not so much.

How exactly have the bulls been "unclassy?" They gave BG two fair deals the last two years. Last year, they gave him all summer to sign the deal. They gave him there max offer up front. They gave him a deadline well in advance. The deadline passed. They moved on. BG has now done the same. How do you know if the Pistons had topped out at 8-9 million the bulls wouldn't have said, "Wait, we'll give you that but we need to get the Blazers to take Hinrich." $11 mil is a barely credible amount for BG. He needed to take it before Dumars came to his senses. I don't blame him for taking it immediately any more than I blame the bulls for being speechless on the other end of the phone.

I don't know who to believe.....Brother's seems like a shady agent to begin with and I'm skeptical that he even made a call to the Bulls. Yet then again, I'm also skeptical that the Bulls weren't offered a chance to match the deal. Both parties kind of suck and I'm not too fond of either of them.

Either way though, Ben Gordon is a traitor. I hope he breaks his legs and never makes the playoffs again.

I just wish he would have went somewhere else like OKC. Going to a division rival and a team that's generally hated by the bulls fan population is just a slap in the face.

Detroit signing Ben Gordon doesn't make much sense either. It was almost like Dumars was just snatching him and Charlie V up so they didn't go to another conference rival. I think the Bulls have a lot of talent on their roster but Gordon leaving just puts a big hole in the scoring department. Unless James Johnson is the next Barkley, we're screwed.

I'll be there at least one Bulls/Pistons home game this season hoping that Kirk can shut down BG.
