$50 mil over 5 is more than 90% of $55 mil over 5. Throw in a pinch of inflation and moving and pimping a new crib costs and it's pretty much the same thing. It's allright Denny, I know this is an emotional issue for you...

If it's emotional, it's only because my favorite team just got worse.

Go volunteer 10% of your pay back to your boss if you think it's no big deal. let me know when that happens.

    yeah, right.

Denny we're not going to be the Thunder. And on paper we got worse but we'll never know until we actually start watching some games...

It's going to be really exciting to see us lose games 88-80.

I'd gladly give back $1 million if I got to keep the other $10 million. But maybe that's just me.:dunno:

The real fun will come in watching Del Negro try and control Allen Iverson, if the sign and trade comes to fruition.

Actually, the Bulls averaged 102.2 PPG this season and 106 PPG after the trade for Miller+Salmons.

97 PPG the year before (Gordon missed 10 games) and 98.8 the year before that.

97 was good for bottom 3rd of the league. 99 was good for top half of the league.

    97 doesn't make the playoffs.

99 makes the playoffs, but when you score 92 / game in the playoffs, you get bounced early.

When you score 108 PPG in the playoffs (this past season), we take the defending champs to 7 games and had a real chance to advance.

My fault I thought your point was that the Bulls would lose close games.

My point is they'll be extremely unexciting to watch, as they have been with the "Right Way" systems, and they'll only be able to keep games close by playing defense, but without guys who are gifted at putting the ball in the hole they will have a hard time maintaining small leads or overcoming big ones.

Only real team that could give iverson any money is memphis, which is where he needs to go and learn to bring his ass off the damn bench.

Hahaha its the truth, I dont think the Grizzlies are gonna bench OJ for an aged iverson, either way its basically instant offense coming off the bench lol. But Iverson might be ok to come off the bench if he's ok with signing with the grizzlies in the first place lol.

The more I look at it, the better I think Detroit comes out in these 2 FA signings.

They were 8th seed last season, and finished 2 games behind the Bulls. The 2 games difference was Detroit losing their last 5 while the Bulls went 2-3.

So with Sheed and a malcontent and poor performing AI and Amir Johnson, that was basically as good a team as the Bulls. At least in the regular season.

Gordon and CV are likely (certainly) an upgrade over AI + Sheed. Though the Pistons are pathetically weak at the PF/C positions (depth wise, too). Imagine them without Gordon and CV, they'd be downright awful.

All Detroit really needs is a C like Marcin Gortat and they'd be pretty solid. Maybe they can find a guy like that before the season or in the next draft. Even Darko would be a good fit. How about Zaza and his sister Eva? Johan Petro, Rasho, Melvin Ely, Chris Wilcox, and Drew Gooden are all unrestricted. Detroit may not be able to offer big bucks, but they can offer them PT on a team with a solid 4 of Gordon, CV, Prince, and Rip.

    Do they have the MLE?

Plus they have the space to land a big name FA in 2010?

One year rebuilding program doesn't sound shabby to me at all.
