I'm surprised the Dodgers haven't made a strong move for him since Torre publicly said he wants Halladay.

Phillies have to be the favorites to come out of the NL again if they get this done.

^Yeah, it's their owner like I said. Someone should tell them that they're a large market team, they should act more like one than they do.

according to ESPN, Phils think it's too much.

Sources: Phils won't meet demands for Halladay

Teams aren't sure how Halladay would perform in the post season I guess. It's hard to believe no one has stepped up to get this guy. He's the best pitcher in the league and a real workhorse.

Eh, I think the Jays are asking too much, TBH. They want like 3-5 top level prospects. Eh, I wouldn't mortgage my future like that. TBH, I don't think Dan Haren is that much worse than Halladay and he could be a little cheaper.

Toronto is going to lose this guy, either way. They'll lower their demands for him, get a team's top prospect, and a few other good prospects.

I don't blame the Jays for the asking price. I think they're trying to package Vernon Wells with Halladay which teams aren't willing to absorb. Philly can't be serious about Pedro Martinez being the answer.
