Yes. I think so, eventually. If you mean on opening night, well then no. But by mid-season, yes. He's a natural leader, intelligent, vocal, That's what the Warriors need at PG. I'm good with Curry/Monta/Jax/Randolph/Beans
If this year is a repeat of last year then Curry is bound to start at least one game. I recall the Warriors were left using a lot of different starting lineups last year, for a mixture of reasons including injuries. I will say no to Curry becoming part of the starting rotation if the team is fully healthy this year. If he does become part of the starting rotation, it will most likely come at the very end of the season, maybe similar to Randolph, or even later than when Randolph became part of the rotation.
Yeah, I also thought it meant right away so I voted no. The thing is though, I'm not so sure he will be starting even later on, injuries aside. I don't see him playing much SG, espcecially this year over Morrow, Jackson, and Azubuike, and Curry + Monta starting together is a very small backcourt, and Ellis most certainly will be starting. I will reiterate that I think either Curry or Ellis will be gone in less than 2 years. We know what Monta is so it really comes down to what Curry turns into. So unless Monta goes down to injury, I don't think Curry will start very often, and even then Nelson would probably start Watson first.
I also thought it was opening night too. But I think there are better veterans who should be starting over him. What position is he playing anyway - PG or SG or both?
I didn't even think about him starting later on or opening night. I just got the idea from the Marcus Thompson post. I'm guessing it's for the whole season.
I don't see it happening anytime soon. Scoring shouldn't be a problem, but we have to find out whether Curry-Monta front court can defend anybody, and if they can't, we probably will not see the line up...
Agreed. I think Curry needs to put on 15-20 lbs and gain a half-step if he wants to be an NBA starting point guards
