I like it but I really hope Wright is still the first PF off the bench. If he doesn't have it or gets in foul trouble then bring in Moore. Sadly, I don't think that's going to happen. This system is perfect for Wright and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up starting.
Did he just never get on the court in Boston? He seemed like a good role player in NJ and looked good in Sac, too, in a system that was not ideal for him.
He had a great chance to make our rotation with the ridiculous amount of injuries we had late in the season, but after a while it became obvious that Doc was more comfortable playing 4 guards at a time than he was sending Moore onto the court. I couldn't even believe how bad he was.
You're suggesting Wright may start over Randolph? Whoa, can't see that happening outside of an injury, and I don't think Randolph will be starting at SF very often. I like Brandan Wright but I fear he's only here until Nellie can find a trade to work him into.
No, I'm worried that Moore will not only jump ahead of Wright but also Randolph, you know, for veteran leadership
I don't mind it. For the vet minimum of 1.3 mils, I don't mind it at all. He'll probably play back-up center, too, as he is a legit 7 feet. I always thought he was tough as nails, both in 2006-2007 with NJ (9.8pts, 5.1 reb) and in 2007-2008 with SAC (8.5pts 6.1 reb). Honestly, that's a bargain to get him for 1-year pennies. He probably wants to regain his old form so he can get a multi-year deal next season, too, so he'll be motivated to bounce back. Honestly, I'm surprised no one offered him a bit more (2-3 mils). Lastly, can GS turn around and include him in a package trade?
Well, even though he is not going to defend Shaq, he is better than Davison. So, I am not complaining...
How are his hands? I mean before Turiaf (who I think is wonderful btw) we had the likes of Adonal Foyle, DJ Mbenga, and Erick Dampier. Dampier was the most talented, but he might as well been invisible with his production level in non-contract years. That's why I do love Biedrins. He brings it every night, but he's not a prototypical center at 240 lbs and will surely suffer the same defensive limitations as Moore does at center. I think Turiaf is also a great effort player and a great backup center who actually has skill, strength, rather than just height like some centers. Moore sounds more like a PF because he is a shooting big man right? What about his rebounding? If he can't rebound for us might as well have kept Harrington... Nelson nelson nelson! > lame
