If he's still here at the start of the season, I can't wait to see the reception he gets at the Oracle, could get real ugly. And just wait til he puts up one of his patented 5-17 with 6 turnover games.

I wonder if he'll still get to have the team captain insignia on his jersey once the season starts and the Warriors are stuck with him?

It's been over 24 hours now and there hasn't been any damage control by SJax, his agent, or the Warriors. Usually when a story like this breaks out there's a follow up statement blaming the media for misquoting them or whatever.

Maybe there will be an update on Monday?

Well, that's the only other reason I can think of if he wants to play for a contender or the Knicks.

Unless he thinks the Knicks are a contender.

He sounds confused then. Is selling shoes or winning a title more important? I can't wait to hear what he has to say about the Warriors once he's traded.

It pisses me of he's so non chalant about it.

Sounds to me like this is the precursor to Cohan Selling the team. Jax's agent smells an opportunity since things are gonna get ugly. I'm hopting that's what this is at least.

Link to a Dallas Artile that makes sense...if Cohan's selling

Translated..I want to play with LeBron, whether he's in Cleveland or NY

    WE SHOULD HAVE KEPT BELINELLI!!!

We haven't started the season yet, but already I hate the moves the Warriors have made:
    1. This should be SJax's contract season.
    2. We should have traded CJ Watson to the Magic.
    3. We should be talking about how Monta and AB will be the cornerstones of the franchise for years to come.

This team is doomed until Cohan sells the team. Every GM and management group that the Warriors has had sucked and this includes Mullin. He was the best of the worst.

It's not like any of us are shocked. Our mood continues to barrel down the bottomless pit of hopelessness.

I think a monkey with a set of darts would do better than this management group.

As for Jackson, we should keep him now. Tell him he's still Captain Jack and this is his ship. Send him out there every game and play him close to 48 mins. It would be a fitting place in hell for him .

W's just signed Mikki Moore. I reckon that means Wright or Biedrins is a goner. Wonder how much Jack, Claxton, Wright/Beans would get us in a trade.

It's strange -- he's probably the only player in the NBA who averages 21 pts, 5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and is still probably thought of as nothing more than a role player on most playoff contenders...

I mean, those are Joe Johnson, Vince Carter, Brandon Roy type all-around numbers, and yet what is SJax worth? Not a whole lot. It's because of how he gets the numbers. His stat line is nearly identical to Roy's, and yet Roy is the ultimate franchise corner-stone... why? One word: character. Does Roy stand around and whine whenever he doesn't get a call? Does Roy force knuckle-head passes and 40-foot threes out of frustration? Does Roy pull out his pistol at strip clubs... okay, well, I've made my point.

Jax is probably the most worthless 20 point scorer in the league, in terms of trade value. What could we get for him? Probably role-player scrubs, that's about it...

If we can trade Jack and Mags for Howard, Barea and filler, then it may be worth discussing.

    Latest update.

Pretty weak response by Riley. He should have had "no comment" or said those comments by Jackson were disappointing and we'll have to sit down and have a talk with him.

    You're killing me Larry.

Yeah, it seems like Riley only knows how to make a cookie cutter statement as a GM. Both statements from George trade and Jackson incident were pretty weak and predictable. And, what kills me is that Jackson doesn't even give an usual, half-hearted lip service of "Oh, I really didn't mean to say that, and I am committed to Warriors". This Rowell-Riley front office is bad at building a successful basketball team AND personal management. Sigh...

Cohan needs to go. Seriously, what can the warriors do with an owner like that and and a front office that are a bunch of stooges...

I don't know even know if I can stomach an nba season watching these guys? It's like what's the point? But maybe Monta Ellis and Biedrins will make me a believer again. I'm sure not liking the Riley/Nelson moves so far... I'd rather have Mullin back and kick Robert Rowell the hell out of here. Guys who don't know basketball should stay the f out of athletic personnel decisions.

I hear you. I'm definitely not paying for tickets anymore. I'll still follow, and watch the games, I've bled blue and gold since about 1980 so it's hard to just stop. Tolbert made a comment yesterday... The core of the "We Believe" Playoff team was Baron, JRich, Jax, Harrington, Barnes, and Biedrins (Ellis didn't play that much). A couple of years later...assuming Jax is gone, Biedrins will be the only one still here. Way to recognize talent. The 1st playoff team in 15 years and you dump them. They held together a core of losers through the Larry Hughes years even though the team was junk. Not only that, but the players that were let go were all fan favorites. Way to recognize what the fans want... It turns my stomach when I think about it.:smiley-piss:

I still believe that the 8th seed team that went on to beat a 1st seed team wasn't really your typical playoff team... and was barely a playoff team in the West.

I also think when they took jrich out of the equation it became very bad. Azu ain't no Jrich when it comes to finishing at point blank range or scoring consistently. Jrich is better than Mags at the team game and hitting from downtown and he's more durable year to year. And we never really developed Wright, the guy we traded Jrich for... Either he was injured or not ready to play and he just wasn't worth giving up a Jrich type player. Love or hate Jrich's game, IMO he was a guy that kept fans in their seats because he was exciting to watch. If we kept Baron and Jrich together a lot longer they'd be exciting together. Monta's cool and all a la Gilbert Arenas, but Jrich was a power player that could get hot from downtown (I think he's tied with somebody like Clif Robinson for most consecutive made 3 pointers in a game made by a Warrior). Plus, two dunk titles. Love or hate his game, he was amazing athlete. Put Sjax next to him and we got the guard skills that Jrich lacked, taken care of.

    Baron
    Jrich
    Sjax
    Harrington
    Biedrins

should have been a decent team to keep for a few years.

We gave up a lot of consistent scoring... and with Don Nelson you need it the way he uses his centers and only big rebounders or presence in the paint.

Also I'm glad we didn't re-sign Baron. He's just not durable enough to build the franchise on. Now if Monta wouldn't have gotten himself hurt maybe it'd be a better season because he's got a chance to be a strong building block with the way he creates... but yeah the moves made after Mullin's reign were horrible. The warriors will repeat their losing history because they're too stupid to learn what didn't work in the past. If they don't have a rich enough owner to take the luxury tax hit, why did they invest their money so stupidly?

The warriors top management just don't know how to win or play it wisely. It starts with managing the money wisely and investing in the right talent. Then it goes with having a vision of what this franchise is all about. No vision whatsoever by Cohan and his stooges. It makes me upset that we have to deal with this b.s. for the last 15 years or so.
