Source Not surprising in the least, we all know that if you disagree with Obama clearly the only possible reason is your a racist...right deception?
fyi, the chief organizer of the tea party express referred to the president as a "indonesian, muslim, turned welfare thug"
It's hard to keep up with all the labels Obama has earned. Socialist, Facist, Muslim, Dictator, Communist, Leader of the New World Order, Emperor of the Evil Empire, etc. etc. I don't agree with a lot of his politics, but the posters, banners and comments made by a lot of those protesters was embarrassing. These are the types who want freedom, yet they'll fight tooth and nail to prevent gay marriage or a women's right to abortion. Transparent hypocrites.

To suggest racism didn't play a factor would be ignorant, but to suggest it did would also be ignorant. The only person that knows for sure is Joe Wilson. My opinion is that it had nothing to do with race and that he saw a chance to align himself with the base of his party which might be somewhat racist. It was a political move. Maybe not from the start. I don't think he came into that night thinking I'm going to shout down the President, but everything afterward has been. I could be wrong though. I've stated my opinions on those rallies. I think some are good and some are bad. Some people there are probably not happy that Obama is half black or as some crazy lady suggested at the Washington rally against him that she thinks he's letting Muslims take over America or something like that. So it's out there, but Obama and company should expect it. Others probably could care less. The problem is some have trouble separating the crazies from everyone else.
no reason to lump abortion in there with gay marriage. just as easily as you can say the right is fighting tooth and nail against a woman's right to abortion, they can say the left are fighting tooth and nail to prevent a baby's right to live.
To be honest after watching the video in it's entirety, I don't really see the problem. The fact is that Barack Obama lived in Jakarta Indonesia from ages six through ten, his family at least on his fathers side originates from Kenya and as far as I know his father is a muslim and his life has had this influence. As for the "Welfare Thug" part, he's actively trying to take from the middle and upper class and give to the lower class. Those of us who aren't on his side of the aisle could classify his absolutely partisan behavior as being a thug. That being said Mark Williams pretty clearly has no idea how to vocalize his opinion in a fashion that will allow it to be received by the masses in a positive way.
and i can say if they hadn't already made that decision, the conception of the child wouldn't have been possible. but i'm not going to get into an argument about that right now. there is a legitimate argument to be had about abortion and it doesn't belong in the same category as something like gay marriage that there really isn't a legitimate argument against. lumping those two together just makes your argument worse.
it's two different issues, but the point is still the same. there shouldn't be law against people making those choices based on it being against a person's religion. that's really what comes down to right? why shouldn't people be allowed to make free choices under these conditions either?
