It seems arsenal is at it again for dzeko, i personally think the first team to offer 30million will get dzeko but wegner is cheap

Arsenal renew interest in Dzeko2009-10-01 - Added by ExtraFootie Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly lining up an audacious bid for Wolfsburg's highly-rated Bosnian hitman Edin Dzeko in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old scored an impressive 26 league goals last season as Wolfsburg clinched the Bundesliga title for the first time in their history, with his form alerting several of Europe's biggest clubs, including AC Milan and Chelsea.

Dzeko came close to joining the Rossoneri over the summer but a move failed to materialise after the German champions reportedly turned down a £23million offer in order to keep their prized asset at the Volkswagen Arena.

The former FK Teplice star made headlines again after scoring against Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening as Armin Veh's men crashed to a narrow 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.

Reports emanating from Germany suggest that Wenger is set to renew his interest in the 6ft 5in hitman and after the club recently announced record profit margins, money is available for the Frenchman to launch a bid.

'The Professor', who on Thursday become the longest-serving manager in the Gunners history, is keen to bolster his attacking options having sold Emmanuel Adebayor and being thwarted in his bid to sign Marouane Chamakh.

One stumbling block however, could prove to be Dzeko's £25million price tag with Wenger forging a reputation as an astute accountant as well as a masterful tactician.

Dzeko is a sick player. :)

Get him and Cana and they'd be set to win it all.

    - Arsenal makes record profit, vault opened for new player signings;
    - Arsenal's interest in Dzeko suddenly rejuvenated;
    - Wishful thinking.

Dzeko and RVP would be deadly, why because Dzeko is the tall striker with a lot of power and finesse also and his technique is very unique way different then RVP's and his headers are automatic, he can score with either foot proved it last season 9 goals with right and 10 goals with right and 7 goals with head = 26 total in the Bundesliga, then on top of that he is 4th or 5th on the assist chart, he brings a lot to the table definitely a much more well rounded Footballer then Adebayor was.

As much as I hate Arsenal, honestly I rather see him go there then to Chelsea or Liverpool, that would just piss me off if he went there. And Manchester might go after him I don't know, from what Sir Alex was saying he looks interesting in Dzeko also but I have my doubts at Manchester chasing him, so Arsenal you better get him steal him away from Chelsea and Liverpool!

^ Before Arsenal spends 20-30 or whatever on a new player they have to sort out the situation with Fabregas. The money might be better spent in the midfield if he is leaving next summer--even though we'd get a lot for him.

Here is couple of clips of him for those of you that don't watch the Bundesliga.

This goal vs. Manchester United yesterday put him on the World Stage for the World to see who Edin Dzeko is.....

Dzeko being 23 years of age, after the game said he was so nerves facing United in England, he didn't know what to expect, he said 2nd time around he will be more conformable.

This is an Dzeko intro video......

Everything he touches turns to GOLD. His nickname is the Diamond, that is what he is known as in Bosnia, the announcers said South Africa with witness the World Largest Diamond once Dzeko shows up  The kid is only 23 and they are already saying this about him, but he is a huge buzz in Bosna.

P.S. He is 2nd top scorer behind Wayne Rooney for the WCQ.

Why do you want him to go to the EPL so bad, even to a team you don't like?

    Well let's have a look...

    BARCA

    £157,500 Ibrahimovic
    £147,000 Messi
    £131,250 Henry
    £87,500 Puyol
    £87,500 Inestia
    £87,500 Xavi

I suppose Barca would offer him about £125,000.

I think he makes £75,000 now.

So we'd have to increase his salary by 66% just to match. For the same money he might rather play in Spain. We would probably have to go up to £150,000 to keep him. Barca might have issues with offering him more than they pay Messi, who could then turn around and ask for a raise.

I don't see Wenger doubling his salary. I think it's more likely we sell him for £40-million or so and buy two or three players.

That is if he wants to go, which he might not.

There are worse places to play than at Emirates. Just a quick look at the recently departed players is a good hint that leaving isn't always a good career move. But we're not talking about a role player like Hleb, though. Fabregas at Barca would be deadly.

Well maybe he didn't want to before. Objectively looking at this team, are we hoping to finish 4th again? Is he satisfied with that?

Because the EPL has one of the best trainers in the World. It doesn't matter if he ends up at Arsenal or else where you don't understand he is Bosnian and he is a national icon already so even if I do support Manchester United or others support other clubs Bosnians will always want whats best for our Footballers so if that means he will go to Arsenal then so be it because they will make him in to World Class make him even better and that will benefit Bosnia in the long run.

In Eastern Europe, it's country over club. Much different to England.

Of course mate, not trying to offend anyone but English Footballers are not treated like nation icons like in my country or other countries in Europe, hell Wales treats Ryan Giggs as GOD! But the English footballers should be treated like national icons, England is turning out to be like America with their Basketball and there American Football they just don't have pride in their Footballers at all I don't know by but England use to be like what Bosnia is now to our Footballers but I think Beckham ruined it for England, I remember in the 90's early 2000's he was treated like a national hero then when he went with the model, and money shite then he messed it all up.

The reason why we love Edin Dzeko he has put Bosnia on the map for Football, something that Ibrahimovic couldn't do, because it was our FA's fault but I'm sure Ibrahimovic would have done the same, and Dzeko plays with his heart, he doesn't care about money. So that's why we love him and our other footballers!

So if Dzeko was at Arsenal I would be the first in this world that would go online and buy his uniform right away!!!!!!!! And I don't care if it has Arsenal on the chest, all it matters is what name is on the back, that's how much love I have for our footballers.

P.S. Manchester United just put their names on the hunt for Dzeko too, so if he ends up at United WOW! :biglaugh: That's going to be amazing!

Yeah man it's the truth, it's a shame though. That is why clubs right now are taking over the country pride, which should be the other way around.

Liverpool at in the hunt for Dzeko also, so top 4 clubs from EPL are after him, I don't think Milan will get him away from EPL Giants, in my opinion.

It was a header, so far he scored more headers then he did with his feet this season, usually it's the other away around with anyone even him, but if he keeps up the headers he will get a lot more noticed. Because headers are hard to do, and so far he is legit at it.
