I'd do it in a heartbeat. Course I've been wanting Jax gone for a long time now. Has anybody read anything about last night's meltdown? Jax picked up 5 fouls and a T, and Nellie started yelling at him and told him to go to the locker room. I saw it on the stream. I assumed somebody like Tim K would come out with something new about a trade scenario, but I don't see any news yet.

I agree with you on that one...

A small ball lineup of Mo Williams, Delonte or Anthony PArker, Sjax, LBJ at the 4, and a mobile Shaq would be scary...

Lets hope Shaq doesnt bring his running shoes this season, and that this DOES NOT fall through!

I hope Cavs are thinking the same, because we do need to unload Jackson at this point. He certainly doesn't look happy, and we still have 4 years remaining (and his extension isn't even kicked in yet...). I mean, Jackson is a good player, and he can help a team greatly if his mind is right. But, we aren't going to be an elite team anytime soon, and we can live without him...

If we're going to go for a 1-year rental, I think I prefer Bosh...

I actually liked Amare over Bosh but after watching the Suns and Warriors, it seems that Amare really has lost a step. I could be wrong, but Bosh is clearly more valuable IMO just because of his health.

But, why would Toronto take a loaded contract(s) just because they know they can't resign Bosh? The smart move would just let Bosh become a FA and have the financial flexibility, unless they really value Biedrins (and maybe Sjax).

A Bosh rental for Biedrins, man I really don't like it. Bosh is very good, obviously, I'm not disputing that. But more offense that we don't need while giving up defense that we desperately do need, that seems like a bad idea. And in a year we're stuck without a center. Maybe you haven't noticed but they're not too easy to find/get. Now if they can dump the years + $ off Jackson's contract in the process it helps, but I don't like it.

Definitely a tough call. The thing is, even though the Warriors have plenty of offense, they still don't have that defined go-to guy. Sjax was kind of the de facto go-to guy last year, but the season as a whole was a failure...having a go-to guy (by default or not) didn't help. I don't think Randolph is ready to be that guy yet. I actually think Morrow is ahead of Randolph as far as making a clutch shot, but Morrow can't create plays on his own.

So anyway, the point being, in order to be successful, you do need that star player. Whether we cultivate our own in Randolph and Curry or we get one via trade or free agency. The Warriors are in a tough position (only themselves to blame). They need to shed salary and a disgruntled player and they need to stay competitive in the West.

Maybe Monta can be that guy, but I just don't see it. I see Curry ahead of Monta, but that's just me drinking the Kool-Aid.
