PLEASE! Having this team in SF in a privately funded arena (think AT&T) would be golden. Whatever happens, new ownership needs to completely re-invent the wheel that is the Golden State Warriors. It would be best for the team, us fans, and the league.

I was just about to post this. Its REALLY exciting news if true though I don't want to get my hopes up too much. Sell the team Cohan!

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. I like Wojnarowski bringing this stuff out to a national level though, hopefully it'll put another spotlight on the problem and dial up the pressure for Cohan to sell. But, while it's easy to get excited about potential buyers, just look next door to the Raiders and see evidence of how horrible owners can stay entrenched for decades while ruining once-proud franchises.

I'd rather have Al than Cohan. Al at least wants to win and will do anything possible to win. He shells out big time money to try to improve the team. He just doesn't know wtf hes doing anymore and won't turn football operations over to a GM.

I don't know about that. I'd call swapping Al for Cohan would be quid pro quo. Al just can't get out of his own way. He wants to win, that's great, but he needs to take the credit. So, if he hired a coach that made the team successful, Al would step over the guy and take the credit. On the other hand, he needs a coach that he can place all the blame on as well when things don't go so well.

At least Cohan is a ghost.

No on Al Davis. Our biggest problem is not how we spend money, but how Cohan continuously makes bad decisions on hiring his underlings. With Al, he will try to do whatever he wants to do, and with current NBA salary cap, which is much more strict than NFL or MLB, we will soon to be NY Knicks, signing has-been players for near max dollars or trade young players for over the hill type of players...

Psst it's Eddie D. He's still young for an owner at 63.

How many draft picks did Minny give up for paying Joe Smith under the table? Isn't that the same way Steve Young was signed by the niners?

If DeBartelo he'd be willing to pay the right guys, but we'd never have a first round pick again!
